We stayed in a family room and it was very clean and comfortable. Steve cooked us a fabulous English breakfast the following morning. He even carried our bags and gave the kids lollies when we left. He went the extra mile which makes a big difference when you are travelling with kids. Would stay there again and happy to recommend to others.

We received a friendly welcome, a clean and cozy room for our family of five and personalized service. On top of that, we were lucky enough to arrive in time for dinner and had a meal worthy of a five-star restaurant. The Lynebank sets the standard for small, locally owned hotels should be.

Went for a new year's eve get away. Even though we were the only paying guests there that night, we were made to feel welcome. Given choice of rooms, even the more expensive master suite with the four-poster bed (which we went with) Happy for our pet dog to stay with us in the room. Excellent bar meal. A little concerned when we arrived as the hotel was in darkness. A phonecall sorted out and the owner arrived 10 mmins later. All good.

My husband and i and our 3 grandchildren all stayed in one room , which is unusual . Although the owners were away the people running the hotel were very friendly and couldnt do enough for us . Although they had a menu for the restaurant they offered to cook anything the children wanted. The food was excellant . Would deffinately return .

Ena, the hotel owner went out of her way to make Halloween a special occasion for our three children. We will remember our trip and her generous and giving nature. Also Steve is a fabulous chef and the dinners we had at the hotel were delicious.

The room was small The evening meal was poor, only one course offered No member of staff was on the premises during the night. All corridors were in darkness, and if there had been any form of emergency there could have been a major disaster. We were told that the hotel phone was switched through to the propieters home, but as there were no lights on it would be impossible to find it. I would not reccommend anyone to stay there.

The breakfast was freshly cooked to order and the portions were just right. The restaurant is shabby and in need of a refurb. The room in which we stayed was downstairs and very close to the resident's lounge which meant that the two 'gentlemen' who insisted on talking as loudly as they could until 12.30pm caused us to have a poor night's sleep.

We arrived a little later than we expected at Lynebank House Hotel and all of my family were tired and hungry, we were greeted with such friendliness and although the kitchen was just closing we were all cooked an amazing, tasty meal of fine quality. Our family room was very comfortable and our young children slept soundly. We left Lynebank House Hotel wishing we could have stayed longer.

The only negative is the late check-in time, there was nobody at the hotel to book us in, we had to phone the inn keeper to have him open the hotel so we could book in.
