On the banks of the Avon River, Old Mill Hotel & Lodge has lovely gardens and stunning views of the countryside surrounding Bath. It is on a site that housed a flour mill until 1907.

Great location & price
Room like a bedsit Rude owner/manager
We really liked the place: Good location not far from the city centre in a house that perfectly represents the vibe of the town. A very attentive host who provided a map and a good overview for Bath when we arrived and a cosy room with everything in to make the stay comfortable. Definitly recommendable!
Friendly staff and a nice welcome. The owner took great care to explain things to me, provided a map and pointed me to places of interest. Really made me feel welcome. Shower is slightly small but all in all very good value for money
Lynwood House was just a short walk to the City centre where we spent nearly 4 hrs at the Roman Baths, absolutley enthralled by them. Also plenty of Restaurants and lovely shops. Also not far to go to Bristol to visit Tyntesfield National Trust House and Gardens, which were superb.
My husband and I liked everything.
Friendly reception Clean Wi fi area safe and 5-10 minutes walk to town and 10-15 to station shower and sink in single room, private toilet in hallway outside overall suited me perfectly
no breakfast, but fine as i knew this in advance and owners suggested options. terrestrial tv only despite access being through a skybox
Christian the host couldn't have been more welcoming, he was very friendly and gave us some great tips for our time in Bath. The hotel is only 5 minutes from Bath city centre, and was a lovely walk over the river. Facilities were lovely, very interesting decor and a nice amount of space in the room.
Nothing, it was a great guesthouse and we loved our time there.
- payement only cash - needs repairs - cleanliness - room small - difficult to find - no breakfast
Central, convenient, well situated for town centre and train station, and on road to drive to Stonehenge. Fridge on landing very useful.
Spongy mattresses. A shame as the room was fine otherwise.
The hotel was a short distance, about a 5 minute walk, from the tourist area. It was on a quiet street and we had no difficulty sleeping. The staff was helpful, giving us ideas of where to go. They gave us fresh towels and cleaned the room every day. Also there was a refrigerator for guests' use that was helpful. I would definitely stay there again.
The room was rather small.
Owners very friendly and helpful and wanted to make our stay in Bath as enjoyable as possible. Had difficulty in finding Lynwood House due to having been misdirected by members of the public, but Christopher, the owner. picked us by his car.
The shower head had a tendency to flood the floor.
I was in Bath for exam re sits and this guest house was within good walking distance of the centre of Bath. I was greeted by a very friendly man named Malcom who showed me to my room. The room itself was immaculate and offered a shower, television and a brilliant view as I was in a room on the top floor of the house. I'd recommend for people who are looking for somewhere for a short stay in Bath as it's location is ideal but could potential get a bit boring if you plan on spending a lot of time in your room.
Everything was brilliant, no complaints at all. On an unrelated note, do not order any food from a burger delivery company called Billy Burger. Disgusting.
Location and Acoommodation type
Located just outside the city center, area feels very safe (even at night); free parking; fast WiFi connection; friendly staff; coffee and tea in the room; room was cleaned during our stay. Though they do not serve breakfast, they do supply a useful list of nearby breakfast locations (and a folder with restaurant recommendations).
Bathroom could have been cleaner; bed was pretty small (but I'm tall). The room was small, but we knew this going in.
There were no problems at all. The reception was polite and welcoming. The location was within easy walk of the centre of Bath. This was value for money.
No signal on TV no towels toilet down stairs
The location is ideal. A few metres up the slope to the left and you find the Avon & Kennet canal along which you can walk and find some fabulous views of Bath.
One of the best hosts we've come across. Very friendly, attentive to needs and knowledgeable of the area. The hotel is in the perfect location, 5 mins walk from the centre.
The Kettle - heavy on the limescale, but after mentioning they had a new one for the room. So only a minor negative.
Really good value for money. Staff were really friendly, interested and helpful. Clean and great breakfast. I was travelling on my own, doing a bit of remote work and surfing. Perfect for what I was after. Will definitely stay there again.
Lovely personal welcome. Location was great, Good to have parking! Happy to not have to get up for breakfast until we wanted to and could wander to the city. Enjoyed the room information pack.
Christian, was very informative,a very nice person.
