Score from 90 reviews Superb
Beautiful buildings, decor and grounds. Staff are attentive. Food very good.
WiFi and mobile phone reception awful in our room. I had to stand in the car park to make a phone call. Robes and towels in the spa are a bit tatty and let it down.
The room size and bed fomfort
I didn’t have the time to stay longer
We stayed in the quirky tudor build and loved the use if the spa.
The restaurant was over priced and did not know about the dress code
The staff were extremely helpful and made the stay a 5 star experience. The spa is also lovely.
Parts of the hotel are ageing, specifically the restaurant. However the staff made up for it with excellent customer service and high quality delicious food.
The hotel is located amongst beautiful grounds & the rooms are a genourus size. The spa facilities are excellent & if you are having a back massage I strongly recommend Christina, she is great.
We found the staff a little stiff & the drinks in the bar little expensive.
The views, the staff and rooms were lovely. Great location.
I ordered a pan fried salmon Niçoise salad with green beans cherry tomatoes and anchovies when it arrived I got a few pieces of smoked salmon dotted on plate with a sprinkle of micro salad. Not impressed considering what it cost
Everything! Very attractive collection of buildings both old and new in a stunning location with direct access to the most beautiful walks and views; best hotel swimming pool we have ever come across; one of the best dinners ever. The flavours were exquisite and the service impeccable. The bed was luxuriously comfortable (even though we were in a standard room). We really appreciated being able to use the spa after check-out on the day of departure. This was a big plus point for us. It was also very helpful to know the times when children were allowed in, so that we could swim when it was quietest. Can't wait for our next visit!
The location is good and it's certainly promises a lot!
Greeting by reception staff poor , did not really tell us anything about hotel Same when checking out , just needed to be bit more customer focussed Room was so small could hardly walk around th bed! Overall a disappointing stay
Comfortable bed Beautiful building and surroundings Friendly and helpful staff Although you had to check out by 11am, you were welcome to stay and enjoy the spa, swimming pool and gym until 4pm.
Not much! Had a problem connecting to the wifi during day 1 of our visit, which didn't bother us (and the reception googled a postcode for us) but might be an issue if you require wifi (it worked fine on day 2)
Staff were lovely, breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Pool was great. Thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend break.
Our room was tired and the carpet was in need of a good clean, as were the chairs in the bar area. This did not detract from our stay but you asked what I didn't like about the place
Perfect service from beginning to end. Particularly impressed with Jenny who was amazing and very attentive.recommend to anyone
Had to go outside to eat, ok with us has the weather was glorious but in the winter would need a coat when going to breakfast. This is not a negative though just a bit quirky!
Spa and facilities excellent
Staff in bar area slow
breakfast was great, the swimming pool facility is great, overall a very good stay
if not driving it's not an ideal location as taxi could be a long wait not convenient at all
The quietness and the surroundings. Good to be able to use facilities of gym and spa.
The food was very good but there was confusion of what menu was available in the restaurant so we ended up having a la carte which was expensive.
The fact that all staff very well trained, polite and helpful
The standard of the food at dinner. Breakfast however excellent.
Room is like a private annex. Spa Breakfast. Location Friendly staff.
Mobile phone reception very poor. WiFi poor, it didn't even ask for the password and then didn't work consistently.

Good location and facilities staff were very friendly
The room was dark and wasn't what I'd booked it was a Tudor room with low roofs no shower facility and was very dusty
Very relaxing setting and atmosphere. Food was excellent. To summarise, we had a lovely relaxing break despite our dislikes and would recommend to others.
Although food excellent very over priced. Drinks very expensive. Cleanliness very poor - stair/hallway near our room never cleaned all throughout our stay. Showers in spa not clean. In general, in need of some maintenance.
Excellent welcome. Super room and view
Conveniently close to centre of Haslemere. Attractive surroundings and grounds to hotel. Charming old dining room.
We were obliged to change rooms after the first night because the toilet was defective and also because the first room was on the second floor, whereas we had specifically requested a ground floor room on booking.

Great Period Building, comfortable and reasonably price, superb location and views of the Surrey Countryside.
Although the Hotel is everything you may expect from a Tudor Black & White Timber building without taking away its character the carpets where well past their replacement date and dirty in places especially in the hall and passage ways.
