Its proximity to Ramster Hall wedding venue. The Wordsworth Suite which my daughter occupied was excellent for her and her bridesmaids to get ready in. The evening meal when 11 of us ate together was superb, the service the staff gave and the food was excellent. Rachel The Reservations Manager - extreemly helpful, rings back and sorts out any issues. First day cooked breakfast was lukewarm. Pots of tea should be served to customers on their tables and not tea from flasks. I have phoned the hote reception on a few occassions and left messages and asked to be rung back, but this has not occurred.

The spa and the spa staff are excellent. Very luxurious swimming pool. There is not a central or public area for relaxation. There is a small area in the bar but it is not ideal for relaxation. The rooms are set out in long corridors which make it seem like a boarding school/

Great location with sympathetic development within the countryside surroundings and must be a top choice for weddings given the excellent facilities that includes a lake view, helicopter pad, really good spa with pool, sauna, steam room, treatment rooms, well equipped fitness suite etc. Additionally, the food was excellent with masterchef style presentation and taste and despite some previous guest comments, breakfast was great with a plentiful selection of continental dainties, fresh fruit, cereals and cooked options including a full English... In- room telly is (unusually) well placed with great picture plus plenty tea/coffee The standard double room makes full use of space available but is a little tight if you bring along lots of suitcases and bathroom fan is so loud we realised why it was switched off! Our immediate room neighbours were pretty considerate which is very important as the walls/ceiling are not well insulated and you may hear more than you would like...maybe an upgrade would banish this issue if you are worried?

The country location provides a pleasant location for a relaxing break. Since our last stay, all the focus appears to be on the Tudor Restaurant. We missed the previous lounge and Orangery for breakfast, teas and light meals.

The staff were exceptionally helpful, the restaurant evening meal was of very high quality. The spa facility is of a very high standard. All in all a most enjoyable stay. We felt well looked after and will certainly return and recommend to friends and family. Good sized swimming pool and excellent changing facilities. Attention to small detail (towels provided) and relaxing area provided.

We did not use the Spa but it looked inviting. We were using as a b&b onlystaying overnight as we were attending a Family Party in the area.We liked the odl Dining Room where we had breakfast the next morning which we thought was very poor. More in the next section re: the breakfast. Also liked the gardens and peacefullness of the area. We were using the hotel as a b&b as we were attending a Family party locally.I Have nor recommended your hotel to my family who live locally. The room was adequate but the breakfast was most disappointing. We had to queue for ages for the toast to cook there was no one to serve or help if you needed anything different. The bacon was appalling I wouldn't serve it in my house, I wouldn't even buy it. Very fatty and almost as if it had been stewed. Only white sliced prepacked bread avaialble. No brown or granary bread available which for a Hotel is totally unacceptable. Other Family members stayed at B&B's in Plaistow and had fantastic breakfasts for less than half what we paid. I shall be asking for a complimentary meal as this was appalling.

The staff were friendly and efficient. The hotel was clean and presentable at all times. The location and surroundings were very picturesque. The only thing worthy of complaint is the price of drinks and the breakfast buffet was not as hot as it could have been. The whole experience was a good one and I will be going back to the hotel in the future.

Proximity to family event - a funeral. In addition, embedded in glorious Surrey countryside - 'Olde England'. Didn't use spa.All staff - mainly from Poland & Romania very courteous, helpful & cheerful. Have already left comments at hotel. Spartan room - too basic. Would ask for a higher 'spec' room next tome. Terrible stench one morning (10.30 am approx.) when septic tank(s) being emptied. But excellent setting !!

Spa facilities excellent and all staff extremely helpful and pleasant. Very expensive for single travellers as no single rooms available and not everyone want to share with travelling companion.

The location was perfect for us, and the staff excellent. The Armana Spa staff were helpful, and we used those lovely facilites, at the generous suggestion of the management, and had our departure from the room extended at no extra cost. We have already booked some accomodation for Christmas, and a family meal, and will use that hotel when we need to be close by our family in future. There was a little issue with plumbing, as one tap (sink) did not work in the evening of our arrival, but seemed OK the next morning. Maybe pressure was different with different usage. The water in the bath/shower was extremely hot, too, and we felt could have been reduced in temperature for both safety and economy.

I liked the design of the hotel and the room was modern and clean with lovely views and that the spa had good facilities, with a decent size swimming pool and it was open til late. There was a good choice for the lunch menu and the breakfast buffet with good quality food. The staff were helpful and polite. The only thing that was a shame was that the walls seemed quite thin between the rooms and into the hall as we could hear everything outside our room.

Lovely location, rooms very comfortable and room service food was excellent. Friendly staff Although room service food was excellent I would have liked to eat in a bar/lounge area but the only choice was a La Carte or Room Service

The gardens are beautiful and the layout of the hotel will attract overseas visitors. For those seeking a spa break, the swimming pool was a good size. Great cooked breakfast. The bathroom in the superior room was awful - you expect a decent shower in such a room. The room service smoked salmon was inedible - all bone and brown fish. Staff at the spa were not particularly helpful although reception was good. No need for Elvis 'Xmas' songs in October.

Very welcoming and helpful staff throughout the hotel. The rooms are really lovely-not your typical hotel room- thought and attention given to make the rooms more personal. Fantastic food served in the restaurant- extremely courteous staff-particularly Jenny in the restaurant. The spa facilities are excellent-bigger than average pool with great steam room and sauna- added bonus of having access to drinks/bar at pool side and completmentary magazines/papers. Would definately return. thanks for a great stay!!

An excellent hotel, location. Staff could not be more helpful. My wife and I wanted a weekend to celebrate our anniversary and this was ideal. Food very good, and thought prices reasonable, unlike other comments, varies wine list with bottles upwards of £17. Grounds and facilities perfect. We likes the opportunity to stay on after checkout for lunch and even afternoon tea and still had use of facilitie Would return abd recommend Only negative point would be the sound insulation between rooms

The outside of the buildings and the grounds are lovely and make a great setting for a weekend getaway and some spa treatments. The attached spa is very good and we were alowed to use the facilities up to 4pm of the day we checked out. The restaurant has a great feel to it with panelled walls and inglenook fireplace in one part and great views over the fields from the more modern part of the restaurant where breakfast is served. The shower in our room did not work and the hotel staff failed to provide an alternative room of a similar or better quality. The next day they did take 30% off our bill but it didn't help with the night before. Also, although the outside looks lovely, the hotel corridors are rather functional, our room was nice though with a lovely bed. The set dinner provided a very meagre portion size for the main meal whilst the a la carte main meals were on average £20 alone. I would rate the restaurant a 6/10.

Restaurant, The food was of a particularly high standard, No muesli at breakfast, no low cal sweetner, apparently awaiting a delivery.......surely it would have been possible to source some from somewhere else???........Told kitchen was closed on first night at 21.40 despite a published time of last orders of 21.45.3, offered only sandwiches.....Noise from adjacent rooms particularly from above and next door, raised voices and banging doors wardrobes and bedroom doors, too many steps up and down in this hotel make it a nightmare into and within many rooms on the groundfloor spoiled an otherwise pleasant stay. I doubt if I will return.......
