The resturant was fantastic, most of the staff were friendly and professional, the hotel itself was clean and tidy Overzealous maids, choice of cofee in the tea/coffee (twinnings for tea, only nescafe for coffee),

The size of the room was amazing and the bathroom which had a very deep bath and a seperate double-size shower. The room service was much better quality than your average fayre and not overpriced The internet connection was free as well. A very relaxing place to stay even on a business trip. Nothing tangible, just wish I had a little more time to try other facilities like the Spa. Only other thing: better toiletries and coffee in the room- that is the only thing, otherwise it is excellent and a lovely surprise that the rooms were so spacious.

Lovely looking rooms which were very spacious and comfortable. Bed was large and comfortable. Nice, deep bath and powerful shower. A fridge and ice brought to the room free of charge was a good feature. The burgundy bed runner was dirty. The glasses in the room had been dried with a lint cloth and therefore had white bits of cotton stuck to them.

Our room was very large by usual hotel standards with super king size bed,2 comfy armchairs and good sized coffee table. Well designed and decorated with a great view over the City. Right by Manchester Piccadily station which was covenient for our arrival/departure but we did not have any noise from the station or the busy road alongside.

Large, spacious rooms with big windows. Big bathroom. Very close to Piccadilly Station. It was not possible to open a window. It was not clear that the Spa was for free. Not really in the centre.

Excellent location, the rooms are huge, spotless & very comfortable. Main highlight for me, being a female, the lighting next to mirrors was the best of any hotel room I've previously stayed in, Manchester has some fabulous hotels, the 5 star suites are nowhere near as practical or comfortable as this hotel. I will definately be checking into here on my next visit. The full breakfast was very yummy too. Should be rated 5 stars in my opinion.

Complimentary thermal area lovely, clean and facilities included in room price. Tried some spa treatments excellent and staff very professional. Also some discount given to guests. Room large and well equipped 'bowes' docking station a welcome bonus as was the large bath tub. Fresh milk brought immediately to the room when asked for and able to put in fridge for use during stay. Good location for all of Manchester's attractions. Staff very helpful if asking for directions. A little difficult to navigate to in car due to road system around it but only what you would expect for city center hotel. Infra red area in thermal suite not working during our stay. Toilet for use in ground floor bar area on first floor. Only one large bath towel in our room.

Spacious and clean rooms, very friendly helpful staff, especially Karla. Great breakfast al in all better than the Hilton Unfortunatley the couple who I booked the other room for were unable to get the room I booked (I.E. spacious double room with King size bed on higher floor) and were at first allocated a room which on arrival already had someone in the room but were then allocated another room which was in an accessible twin room, however, the couple and us were compensated for the inconvenience - perhaps ensure room booking system is improved?

The hotel was perfectly located. Very comfortable. For Americans traveling the restaurant was very expensive for us, especially breakfast. Everyone was very gratious. The only thing wrong with the hotel was the lack of free wifi. We had been traveling for three weeks in ireland, scotland, and England . No one else charged for wifi except your hotel . It was also very expensive for wifi use and breakfast.

This was possibly one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. It had a superb quality of cleanliness, the facilities were amazing and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The spa was superb. The hotel is perfectly located near the train station and took less than 1 minute walk to get to. I cannot find one fault about the experience. It was super relaxing even though I was in Manchester on business.

I really enjoyed the spa treatments. the girl gina in the spa was amazing and very very helpful. I really enjoyed the food at the hotel also, but we only ate there one night as we felt that there were more places close by with lower prices for food. the only thing i would say about the hotel is that while we were there, there was an unexpexted fire alarm. This was at 5am in the morning. I do understand that it probably went off by accident, but when it was turned off, we had no idea whether or not we were to evacuate or whether it was actually a false alarm. Maybe an intercom announcement that all was ok should have been done if possible. the letters we received the monrning after were appreciated though. But there were a few people on our floor out of their rooms and none of us had any idea of what to do. However, this was just an unusal experience for us and it wouldn't put me off staying there agian. these things happen.

The staff were nice One of the lifts was not working so waiting times for the lift that was working was horrendous. Booked a full body massage, this was advertised as an hour but only lasted 50 mins. Arrived early so the receptionist allocated rooms on the 7th floor for us. We went out for some lunch and on our return our rooms had been given to someone else and we ended up on the sixth floor. Two couples in our group had paid more but ended up with the same quality of room as myself & Daughter, at least after they complained we all got a free breakfast the following morning. Bar prices were extortionate.

Nice big rooms and friendly staff. Hotel was full but even though they were very busy they were always smiling and helpful. The aircon in the room keeps turning off so you'd wake up in the middle of the night with the room far to hot.

We arrived at 08.30 in the morning after an early flight and were only looking for the baggage room, really didnt expect a room but Chris smiled and welcomed us and asked did we want the room now as he had one available.Brillant gave him my visa, happy days, the card declined, tried again, card declined again (thanks to sony website),my wife cards was more successfull. At no time did Chris make me feel uneasy or under pressure and even suggested checking in and giving my bank a call later, late that night he was back on duty again,so when he was dealing with me that morning he was finishing a 12 hour shift and still was brillant,so it was dealing Chris on the desk that was the best part of our stay, its the small things that count. There was a smell in the room untill you put on air con.

The staff were excellent, very pleasant and always willing to help. The hotel is conveniently situated close to Picadilly train station and within walking distance to the Arndale shopping centre. The rooms seem tired and in need of an update - the scratched furniture. The pillows were of a poor standard and the showergels and shampoos were not replaced everyday.
