Macdonald Manchester Hotel    

I had a very good deal because I booked 2 months before I stayed. The grill meal was very good - a big effort is being made. It was near Piccadilly station, and quite central, but the room I had was quiet. The rooms are unusually large. The hotel is about 10 mins walk from the Apollo. The staff are friendly and eager to please.

Only two tiny lifts. The "smellies" in the bathroom are a bit paltry - hardly luxury. For a hotel which is doing its best to keep its rating, I would have liked to see a more woman - friendly space to chill out. Maybe an afternoon tea ambience instead of a "flatscreen footie" bar.

The hotel was near the shops 2 mins walk from the train station and the bus and trams were 10 mins walk away . Breakfast at the hotel is a must expensive but worth it sets you up for the day . The kitchen staff were happy to make me poach eggs for breakfast which were lovely. So much choice you can't go wrong. The rooms were cleaned very well daily and if you ran out of anything it was bought up to you in 10 mins.

No windows opened and shame no pool.

All the staff were happy and helpfull and friendly the room was superb and an easy walk to city centre.breakfast was first class. Will certainly return....

the location was excellent, bathroom and bed itself large and luxurious.

trying to find the car park entrance was an adventure but after a quick phone call to the friendly and helpful staff we soon found out where it was.

the rooms were lovely and spacious bathrooms excellent the thermal suite in the spa is wonderful

dissapointed there was no swiming pool which we were expecting in a spa hotel as it was a treat for my daughter who is pregnant so unfortunately she couldnt use the spa facilities and we were told treatments had to be booked weeks in advance so our spa break was spoilt

The staff are so friendly - extremely professional and nothing is too much trouble.

For a hotel that caters for business travellers it amazes me that it doesnt have wifi. This would make it a far better overall experience.

Very poor service in the bar, waited 45 mins for food, when we had been assured it would be quick. Also terrible service from a bar man with real attitude who embarrassed my friend in front of a bar full of people.

Very very uncomfortable bed and pillows . Had a room on the 8th floor and waiting for the lifts at busy was a nightmare .

Location is fantastic, the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and amazing value for money.

I think the TV units are too small for the distance from bed. There was also a continual need to book a table at the restaurant however when we got there, it wasn't busy at all so why we were asked so much to book a table I don't know.

Fabulous room, very clean, big bed, large windows with good views, large bathroom and friendly and helpful staff.

Great location right next to the station and close to shops

A very nice hotel, not cheap but you really do get what you pay for, the rooms are large and very well appointed, the bed was a king size and the bathroom was awesome.

Apparently breakfast is £20, or £15 if you book in advance, even the guy on check-in was cringing with embarrassment when he told me, I didnt partake as I think that is taking the proverbial just a little, there are plenty of other places to eat nearby so I headed out for breakfast.

Large spacious rooms with excellent facilities. Only 150 Yards from Piccadilly Station. Very impressed with cleanliness & excellent staff.

Bar & restaurant prices too high & uncompetitive.

We had a quiet room, as requested, and that was much appreciated. Our room was also spacious which was also handy for sorting our luggage before the flight home.

Breakfast was very expensive at the hotel so we opted to eat out for a fraction of the price.

The facilities were excellent and we felt very welcome.the hotel was in the perfect location for what we needed to access
