Excellent service provided by staff, very welcoming and always offering to help. We were able to leave our luggage in the hotel even once we had checked out for the day. Breakfast included within a very fairly priced hotel room considering the location. 2 minutes walk away from King's Cross station, as well as cafe's and restaurants being closeby. Overall a very positive stay at the Macdonald.

For me as a solo traveler it was excellent. Good location, near the Euston station, and the British library. nice staff, very nice breakfast, and free wi-fi in the room, which was the most important thing for me. Although the room was very small, they managed to make it very pleasant, and nothing was missing. It was a bit noisy early in the morning, because you can hear the other guests walking over your head...

Macdonald Hotel was so so close to Kings Cross St Pancreas. We were also able to walk to Bloomsbury and Covent Garden. The hotel was clean, adequate for the weekend, we spent very little time in the hotel so it would have been a waste of money to spend any more (230 for 3 nights). The breakfast was more than adequate, some of the hotels I looked at did not offer breakfast. The lady on the desk (no sure if she was the owner) was very friendly and helpful, however the ladies serving breakfast were very efficient, but not that friendly (dont think they could understand english). On the whole a very great value and convenient hotel. We felt a little awkward, having to ask for things at breakfast table, and had to queue on the first morning.

The location is fantastic, only a couple minutes walk from St Pancres International/Kings Cross. The breakfast wasnt as great as I read in other reviews. It was a basic English Breakfast (sausage, beans, fried egg), however they did give us extra toast. Only tea and coffee available. The bed was too small, it was basically a large single bed. The matress was not soft. Too small for 2 people. Also we had to wait for our breakfast as not enough free tables (only a few minutes but we also had to share it with 2 others). A lot of noise from people walking on the stairs. It is an old building.

The room we stayed in although small was very clean and the fact that it was around the corner from Londons Kingscross and St Pancras was ideal as we were off to Paris the next day. Also we were able to leave our bags at the hotel for free before our train to Paris so that we could have a look around London.

I loved the fact that it was so close to Kings Cross which meant that I didn't have to walk far to get transport back to Newcastle. The room was clean and although we booked a triple room, it was comfortable. Just a tad bit tiny the room if I have to say so myself, and a hairdryer would have been nice. I didn't see one in the room. The only reason I didn't rate it really high is because we were on the third floor and for someone with my weight, it meant I had to walk up three flights of stairs and it was exhausting. I was totally unprepared for that and it meant I didn't want to leave the room that readily since it took ages to get back up to the third floor. Plus the room was tiny, a bit too small for 3 people really.

Handy location, very close to kings cross station but quiet. Not the cleanest of places and the words ensuite quite deceiving as its really a tiny wardrobe beside bed with a loo n shower squeezed in...almost comical.

Excellent location - just a couple of minutes from St Pancras and King's Cross so it was close to trains, tube and Eurostar. Very quiet. Very clean room Excellent staff - we asked for 2 more pillows and they were brought to us very quickly. Excellent breakfast - Very well organised and we asked for one more slice of toast and we were brought two. Plenty of breakfast - excellent quality.

Cleanliness and the feeling of being in a second home, mainly due to the fact that we were greeted by a fellow Maltese. The breakfast room is too small. On two occasions we had to wait in a queue. However the service during breakfast was excellent: served quickly and good food.

“Bayswater is such a convenient area for so many things to visit, we thought that the suites were very good value for money. However we would especially like to comment on the reception staff. A lady and a young man ( the lady was on duty when we arrived on Thursday and both were on duty on Saturday afternoon when we returned to pick up our cases. They couldn't have been MORE HELPFUL and we were very impressed with the service. facilities in the suite were much more than we expected.” Anne, Dymchurch |
