Location The four of us had steak and they were all tough. We had a long wait for the meal and ordering of drinks. The staff were good but obviously not enough of them to cater for everybody. |

Excellent location and has potential to be an excellent hotel! First member of staff met was excellent but he went and rest were poor and not really up to the job. Room was good but two single beds pushed together in twin room with little room to push them apart ( we were staying as two girls sharing a room ) not a couple!Walls in stair area very tired , some money needed to be spent! Breakfast area lovely but staff a little disorganised. Queue to check out very long and two members of staff but only one card machine! I used to live in cheltenham over 20 years ago and always longed to come back and stay in the 'queens ' hotel and although i am glad i did and enjoyed the stay , it could have been soooo much better! But the price was very good! |

This fine old building had been very tastefully refurbished and decorated and this created an atmosphere which my wife and I enjoyed. I was unpleasantly surprised to be charged £10.00 per night to park my car at the hotel as this was the first time this has happened to me. |

Comfortable, elegant room with pleasant view; helpful staff; convenient car parking; good breakfast. Not being able to have an evening meal in the Restaurant because of the catering arrangements for a wedding party. |

I did not like the fact that on the web-site there is a picture of a four-poster bed to the room I wanted. When arriving at the hotel, I was surprised that I did not have a four-poster bed. When asking the reception why this was the case, I was told 2 out of the 12 have this option, I should have requested it. The web site was not clear on this. |

The central location, good for exploring Cheltenham. The breakfast. Good choice at the buffet plus, they have marmite! The friendliness of the reception staff. Masses of hot water for bathing. Interesting building. Our room was adequate but a bit cramped. The decor was tired, large black scrape marks on the wallpaper. We were not aware we would be charged an extra £10 for car parking. |

Quality of the reception, staff keen to maintain the aura. fantasdtic position in the premier position in Cheltenham. Sense that it was past its best, shabby in the corridors. Bed light did not work. |

Easy walking distance to excellent shops and restaurants The floor boards are very creaky, so despite the nice high ceilings, woe betide you if the people above are early risers, which happened to us both mornings. The room door card is very unreliable and we had to change ours daily, which was a fag walking up and down the stairs [there is lift though] |

This Hotel stands out from the rest, and deserves top marks, all staff were the best, we had dinner in the hotel on the Saturday night, and this was such a high standard, Compaired to the Breakfast we had on the Saturday the following one on the Sunday morning was poor as they seemed under staffed, and under supervised, this was the only problem we had during our stay. |
