Beautiful comfortable room with all the little extras. Very friendly staff who willingly engaged in conversation with you. Fantastic location Just a little bit noisy as the room is above the bar area but you shouldn't stay in a City centre if you want total peace and quiet

Very friendly and attentive staff without being overbearing. Great atmosphere, tasty, simply good that really showed off the high quality ingredients. Well appointed rooms, fresh milk in the fridge and homemade treats instead of generic biscuits. Comfy bed. The street outside was noisy during the night but didn't stop us having a great time.

Excellent value and location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice big room and chefs homemade nibbles much appreciated. For the money there was nothing to dislike. the room we had could afford a higher room rate with a bigger bed and a bit of a make over but perfectly adequate as it was.

Friendly welcoming staff. Large suite and great bathroom. Evening meal and breakfast both great quality. Great place to stay for a much needed break. Decor could do with a lick of paint, but don't let that put u off!

All the staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent, both evening meal and full English in the morning. The business is thriving, busy all day and into early hours. However as our room was at the top, it was surprisingly quiet. The only slight down side was the noise of (local craze) town boys with big exhausts driving round in circles of an evening, revving their appreciation at passing ladies! We found it entertaining but I can imagine it would annoy some.

Wonderful hotel in a great location, excellent friendly staff. Nothing too much trouble. We've stayed here three times and look forward to our next visit. Great food - wonderful breakfast. Car parking.

The staff were lovely and the rooms very comfortable. It was a bit too "mad" for us. I didn't even think about reserving a table for dinner when I booked and then on the day we arrived they could only offer us a table at 9:30pm. We hung on until 9:15 and then as they had quite clearly overbooked and told us they were running late we had to go somewhere else which was a bit disappointing.

love the rooms and atmosphere. evening meal was excellent and good value. it is the little touches that make this place stand out. this is our second stay at mad jacks, we have been coming to shrewsbury on business at least three times A year for the past 10 years. this will be our hotel of preference from now on.

The room was excellent, modern meets old, the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, the food was excellent and the bar area was relaxing and friendly, from cocktails to a relaxing cup of coffee, overall a lovely weekend break. Liked every aspect.
