comfortable beds and accommodation; nice décor. NIce pub and restaurant attached, great location to many London tourist spots.
The place itself is not big. But the room was larger than I thought, which is very comfortable. Staff were friendly. I really enjoyed my stay there.
Food in the bar was good, and the staff were helpful.
Room very small and very noisy. It was at the front. No air conditioning so couldn't open window because of noise.
Peaceful and cosy, good bathroom amenities.
No air conditioning but good elec fan provided.
The staff was very friendly and hospitable and the location was excellent. Our room was a great size as well.We will definitley stay here when we come back to London.
Ambience and friendliness without interference. Food excellent value and plentiful. Locality excellent, good range of transport close by, walking distance to most attractions. This is our second stay would come again.
Lack of effective air conditioning.
location value staff rooms facilities
Cleanliness Fresh milk and proper coffee in room.
Tinned mushrooms for breakfast.
Helpful staff, location and bed.
Lack or air conditioning
Friendly and helpful staff. The cleanliness of the hotel was of a very good standard. Only a few minutes walk from Waterloo station.
The room was a little basic for the price but probably not for a hotel in London.
We used this hotel a convenient overnight stay whilst enjoying a cultural weekend on the South Bank. The room was comfortable, and we liked to way you could get real milk for tea and coffee in the room.
The breakfast ... the quirky period decor ... the beer ... the service ... the past history (of the place actually being a converted Victorian hat factory) the location in the throbbing heart of the South Bank ...
The shabby view out of the back windows is a living reminder of Victorian junkyard ,...
Helpful staff, Comfortable beds en suite with bath and shower very good quality towels
tired decor grubby net curtains
character and welcome from staff.good amenities in hotel and comfortable room. lots of tea and coffee in room and close to festival hall etc.
thought prices were high for food and drinks but not really able to compare with london prices.
Excellent location and friendly staff
Room was quite hot (it was hot day) and ventilation not very good
A very pleasant stay. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. The choice of teas and coffee was excellent - they even provided a coffee maker and ground coffee. Bath, toiletries and towels, all was very good.
Street noise, but it was probably due to construction going on outside my window.
The location was perfect for Jubilee Line to 02 Arena, and within walking distance of St Pauls and Tower Bridge. The hotel although small was just lovely with friendly staff. The room was very, very quiet, clean and had all the facilities we needed.
It was a tad on the hot side and the air con would not allow me to change it
Friendly hotel in an excellent location. Proper coffee and a cafetiere in the room was much appreciated.
Comfy beds, nice decor, great location, good hospitality tray. Will definitely stay again.
A positive stay - only negative was that the sink plug was missing!
Staff were very helpful and kind. Food was nice.
Very tired decor and noisy pub area. My overriding impression was the smell of the place and not in a good way, sorry!
Value for money. very nice staff, comfortable beds, enough coffee, milk and tea for two cups in the morning, generally a really good experience
the local area.... bit dusty and noisy and the crossing has no pedestrian assistance - but it is within 5 mins of the Thames so, that's good!
very quiet, surprisinlgy. Good value breakfast, Good value overall in fact. Flexible room service (happy to bring me things that weren't on room service menu)
the view from the room (but it was quiet). Too hot (no air conditioning, although there was a fan in the room which helped). Bottles being emptied in bottle bank at 23.30!
The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Spacious room with all facilities. Situated in good location for Central London or only a few stops on Tube for O2. Special mention to highly efficient waitress at breakfast who was able to somehow memorise many orders from numerous tables and serve everyone promptly.
A bit on the expensive side for room rate but probably reasonable for Central London.
