handy for the tube
central heating not working, toilet not flushing, basin not draining, shower rail fell off, no sleep due to loud floorboard creaking, clothes stank of smoke fumes after, place is dirty, dangerous electrical connections. Grim stay..............
The staff were nice (tall guy with beard whose name i dont remember), very helpful
Location is bad, neighbourhood did not seem nice and transport to the center took along time Building needs to be torn down and rebiult! The room was cold, had to heat it up with portable heaters since the central heating didnt work. I could hear everything from the street even though the windows were closed. The staircase was going to collapse under my feet as i was going up and down.
Staff were good and room service was very good. They made a delicious halloumi sandwich. The building is lovely
Even with a plug in radiator the room was very cold. And the eggy smell from the drains was so bad I had to ask for air freshener to try to cover it up.
Wonderful decor with handmade mosaics throughout Astonishing terrace bar complete with heaters and blankets for chilly nights Warm friendly family atmosphere Huge room with spotlessly clean comfortable beds
Breakfast buffet was disappointing which was a shame when so much else exceeded expectations!
Room was bit dirty needs a paint job not very nice wouldn't recommend it
Lovely decor and original wood work of an old house Staff were poliet and cheerful
Nosey, party outside in their garden untill gone 12. Can hear everyone walking about. Not a good nights sleep we stayed for two days. Won't use this hotel again
Good location, staff really good
Bathroom room - bath dirty, no lock on door, no shower, room very basic no chairs in room
The hotel is lovely with very friendly staff. The family room was big and accomodated 4 adults without any prblems.
The bathroom wasn't clean and the waterflow diidn't have enough pressure.
Not much to be honest
Location, right on a corner next to a shop. Parking was about trying to get your car between a tree and a bus stop. The parking available was the spaces in front of 4 houses adjacent to the hotel. One channel on the tv, which you could only use if you didn't use the stand alone radiator. My room overlooked the conservatory and the lights were left on all night so my room was lit up all night. No room service, in fact no food at all as breakfast isn't served til 8am and I had to ask for something earlier. I managed to get an orange juice and a Danish pastry and whilst there were cereals, there were no bowls. At 10.30pm I had to ask if the family above me could turn their music down as I had to be up at 6, which they did and then put their tv on loud instead. I had booked for 2 nights but asked for a refund for the 2nd night. I was scared for the safety of my car, there were wires hanging everywhere and the public areas looked liked something the Adams family would live in. I've stayed in hotels all over the world and I can't begin to describe how it felt to walk over the threshold and see what lay beyond.
Clean, comfortable and with good facilities relative to the hotel size - plus a friendly, easy going staff. I'll certainly stay there again when in the Edgware area or London.
Not always somebody in reception.
Love everything about this hotel, staff are friendly and helpful, room and hotel decor very quirky but refreshingly unique. Garden area amazing :) Love this little gem and use it often. If your looking for travel lodge / premier Inn uniformed style then this is not for you but if you want something clean, comfy and relaxed then this is a must!
I like the restaurant deco
I didn't like the fact that I was given the room completely opposite what I've booked . beds - the mattress completely used off..not comfortable to sit not mentioning the sleep..need touch of paint..
My heating didn't work. Shower very grubby and small. No attention to detail cleanliness wise. Could here the main road as if the windows were open. No real parking. Sink had someone else's morning tooth past in it. The bed was uncomfortable. I don't normally complain. The staff were nice. It had an odd entrance . I won't be going back especially for cost aswell.
Spacious bedroom and bathroom, comfortable bed.
A bit far from supermarkets and local stations, small cracks between windows let weather in, curtains did not block the sun or people from looking in.
From an ordinary looking front door you walk into this exotic paradise of arches, courtyards and pagodas all with handmade tiled floors. The owners were charmingly welcoming, and hugely tolerant of our grandchildren rushing about exploring this novel playground! Our bedroom was a good size and very quiet given its proximity to main roads.
Bedrooms and bathrooms are in need of updating. Beds a bit lumpy and inadequate pillows. Full English Breakfast was good but the continental breakfast option was very limited and poor value.
The outdoor area is not to be missed! It is cosy, welcoming and it feels like you could be sitting in a garden on the med! Handcrafted structures, heating and cosy rugs as well as excellent service, make this a 'not to be missed' visit.
They don't serve a full English breakfast but there is a continental buffet. The interior decor is a little tired but it is very clean, extremely welcoming. Limited parking but if you can get it it's free, which in London is not to be sniffed at!
The staff at the hotel were most welcoming and helpful. The decor was unusual and not at all what u would expect from the outside. Lots of beautiful handmade tiles and pots around the building. The garden was equally well decorated and very pleasant. The evening meal was reasonably priced and I felt well looked after for my overnight stay.
Can't think of any negatives worth mentioning.
Thin doors , could hear every noise. Wooden floors on top floor hall .
Location not bad.
Room a bit grotty and in disrepair.
THE BUILDING IS VERY UNUSUAL AND UNIQUE, MUCH BETTER THAN THE CLINICAL ROOMS OF PREMIER INN AND TRAVEL LODGE. GOOD THAT YOU CAN OPEN BEDROOM WINDOW, VERY COMFY BED AND NO ONE THROWING US OUT OF ROOM DEAD ON CHECK OUT TIME, SLEPT FOR FURTHER TWO HOURS WITH NO BOTHER.
the friendly owners and staff; fabulous decor; a big and comfortable room; Chopin played live in the afternoons; rabbits and koi fish in the garden; etc.
Someone was stomping and moving things in the room above at night. Also to get in you had to ring the bell everytime, which was annoying when I had to make a few trips to the car to get our things.
I stay in hotels of all varieties almost every week of the year in And around London and the home counties. I am not fussy. This hotel was unique in its Greek style. The Staff and Family were very nice and the bed linen clean.
Advertised with parking. Room for one small car? Staff were good and directed me to a domestic driveway further up the road. WiFi was limited in speed. Room needed bringing up to reasonable standard. Evening meal choice, just Fish and Chips or Mousaka. Bar, bottles only, you have to go and find staff for service. Breakfast I paid for, took one look at what was on offer, and didn't bother. This is the first negative post I have written. Will I return? NO.
Parking was outside a house. Lighting was dark. Bathroom was dirty. Water pipes rattled at night. Hardly slept as the mattress was thin.
If you are looking for a Premier Inn type Hotel this will not fit the bill. However if you are looking for a more relaxed, informal and casual approach to life this may suit you. Once through the door you could be in a Mediterranean country. The staff are so relaxed and there is no formality. The room I had was large and reasonably furnished and the bed comfortable. The hotel was clean and the staff polite.
The approach to the hotel was a bit untidy and the parking I had was on the drive of an adjoining property. I also didn't like the squeaky floor boards from the room above. The property did have a bit of a run down appearance.
Friendly staff and owner Pets for the kids (parrot, hares) Extravagant hotel design (owner-designed)
