Nothing at all. When we (1 adult 2 children) arrived, the reception was manned by the manager. But around us was a lot of foreign students. It wouldn't have been too bad if we knew prior to booking, however, if we did know then we would've stayed elsewhere. We had an issue with the room, but when I approached the reception it was manned by a young person associated with the students. I am glad we only stayed there for one night as it wasn't a very enjoyable experience. I will be contacting the manager today for some refund. The room had an odour of cigarette smoke coming through the bathroom vent. The light in the bathroom went off and back on, on it's own, so when in the shower I ended up in darkness until it came back on again. The manager wasn't able to put us into another room as foreign students were also staying there - unknown to me at time of booking! We had to leave early to catch a ferry to isle of Wight the next day so when I told the manager we would be having a full English breakfast early (which was in the price) he told me that the students would be having their continental breakfast first - from 7 till 8.30 then rest of guests will be served their full English from 8.30, which was not any good to us. I wasn't happy with this, therefore we had to have a continental with the students - again, a very unpleasant experience!

only the breakfast, it was cold but definitely the best thing out of the stay. Not the best breakfast, I've certainly had much better, however as I say, it was the best feature of the hotel which is something to be proud of. The room wasn't clean, we found hairs in the bed, they we're definitely pubes! The shower was either kettle hot or ice cube cold, there was no temperature in between. I actually burnt my hands to the point I actually yelled and my boyfriend ran in. We ordered a double and received 2 beds pushed together, 1 bed was soft, the other was solid. The light bulb above the bed only worked on 1 side. We had no towels in the room and had to request them, we only received them after asking twice. We had no bath tub, when other rooms our friends stayed in at the same price did. During my boyfriends shower, the power tripped out and we we're in darkness for 15 mins. My boyfriend had to stay in a towel until it was switched back on. The room didnt have a phone so I had to run down to reception to report the fault, after i reported it we sat in the room waiting but nothing happened, it wasn't until i went down a second time that it was resolved.

There was staff there 24 hours, but I had to ring them from my mobile to get their attention, it was 6am though Clearly a stag hotspot, not relaxing. Overpriced for the room size. Breakfast was ok but basic. Staff barely spoke to me at all, and just seemed to want us gone. No wifi as advertised.

Not a lot, near to the town centre Very dated, in a dodgy area and you couldnt have breakfast until 9am, as we were up early a pain. Lots of students staying, expensive for what it is.

We went to Bournemouth for New Years Eve and staying at this hotel was very cheap for the time of year. It was also within walking distance to the bars that we were going to. We didnt find it to be very clean and we felt that the staff were not as friendly as they could have been. Also, the breakfast slot was only an hour which may not be enough time if the hotel is at full capacity.

Location and budget for new year's eve stay over as close to local bars and clubs. It's next door to Rubyz! We have stayed before when using local theatre and it does the job.Friendly staff and efficient. We decided to give breakfast a miss as it is basic and had breakfast out at Branksome Beach Restaurant as recommended in the Times. Excellent. A little tired but what would you expect for £60 b & b?

We very much appreciated the staff allowing us access to one of the rooms early, esp as we had travelled from Liverpool for a funeral. We were able to deposit bags etc in the rooms. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and unlike many places the bacon was well cooked - bonus! I think the dining facilities could be better signed - we wandered like wallies looking for the breakfast room. :)

* Noisy. * No Wi-Fi in room. * Room not cleaned every day. * No clean towel every day [had same towel for 1.5 weeks on one occassion]. * TV too close to bed. * Room entrance door jammed. * Breakfast cold and low quality. * Breakfast late on occassions. * Not the cheapest in retrospect. * Some wall sockets not working.

The room was clean and the bed was comfy. We purposely chose the 'double room' not 'twin/double room' but found when we got there that this was two singles. Our friends chose the cheaper option of 'twin/double room' and had a double bed! We were kept up all night by creaking floorboards and although we were a young couple of 21 that went to watch an event at the BIC we are quiet and considerate to other hotel guests. Whereas most of your guests staying were most definately NOT, this resulted in us having maximum of 2 hours sleep! They obviously chose this hotel due to the location and price, arriving back every hour from their nights out. You had a night porter working, so thought he would of done his job properly, at one point i was scared as we were right next door to these young people and felt at any moment they may try to get in our room. They played music at ridiculous hours and were incredibly inconsiderate! When we came out of our room in the morning to go to breakfast the landing was covered in crisps and the camera on the wall had been moved so it was facing the wall, so they were clearly up to no good! Also, the breakfast was cold when we came down at 9:15am. Overall very dissapointed with our stay unfortunately

That I was only staying for one night. The room was very cramped. Breakfast did not start until 8.30 and even when I said this would be too late for our needs, I was not offered any alternative. Also our room was on the third floor and there was no lift or offer of anyone taking our bags.

The location was very good to both town and short stroll to the beach. There was a good selection of food at the buffet breakfast. Our room smelt of cigarettes, the heating wasn't working and we had a bunch of young males staying in the room next door who came back at 4am in the morning and proceeded to shout at each other for about half an hour.

the fact it was cheapish and close to stuff well... it was ok though there was no hot water in the morning. the bathroom was a bit smelly. it smelt of smoke and chinese in the actuall hotel. and i left my coat there and when i rang to see if i could get it they put down the phone on me. i found the place quite funny that it was so bad it was almost a part of the fun. i would stay again but not if if was for a few days as i would have liked to wash.

Breakfast was great & good tea/coffee facility in rooms. Staff were polite and extremely helpful, with smiles which made us feel welcome. Good central location. With many young people in the hotl, we expected it to be noisy at night but it wasn't. Overall it was a great experience. We would book at the hotel again. Fairly clean & good service overall. Drain in shower seemed blocked. Water was going down drain extremely slow. This maade it terrible showering with feet in stagnant water. Towels were not changed. We stayed 3 nights, with same set of towels.
