Llwynygog is a small, family-run, 3-star guest house in a lovely part of central Aberystwyth, just 2 minutes’ walk from the beach and the many amenities of the town centre.
Score from 264 reviews Very good
With a courtyard terrace and traditional restaurant, Four Seasons Hotel offers bright rooms with free Wi-Fi. The hotel is in the centre of Aberystwyth, just 500 metres from Aberystwyth Pier.

Attentive and personable proprietor. The accommodation was modern, in excellent order and condition, very clean and very tidy. The facilities were exactly as required. The location is excellent, with (free) off-road parking. The price was excellent. I should have no hesitation about staying there again. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Got upgraded to the 4* apartment, which was clean, comfortable, and very cosy. Girl who greeted us was friendly and helpful, great stay.
I got moved to the newly renovated Apartment room due to someone needing the room I rented. I didn't mind as I ended up in a bigger nicer and more expensive place which was dead silent and huge two. They even insisted several times they can move me back if I wanted. Perfect for a drunk Aber weekend with friends.
Nothing what so ever.
For what you paid for, you definitely get more. I booked a large double room because of the en-suite option. I ended up getting a single bedroom flat with excellent decor, full arrange of home comfort as well as having a warm flat in December. It is very close to the train station and I felt gutted to have to leave the next day because I have more travel to do in a few days time.
The only reason I put Staff as good instead of excellent was because there were three people checking in at the same time and we have to wait. So it has nothing to do with Staff professionalism but it is the ability of processing. Please don't let this deter you from booking because the person herself is excellent as she gave me a lot of advice and tips around the Aberystwyth and she kept reassuring me that I she will get to me ASAP while I was in the line. I felt gutted to have to leave the next day.
location, customer service, beautiful room, perfect
I was nervous about staying in a shared home but it was absolutely fine. My facilitates were not restricted at all. I would definitely recommend. One of the most comfortable beds I have slept on. Excellent cleanliness and facilitates and great value for money. Would definitely recommend.
I was pleasantly surprised at the kitchen which was well stocked with essentials. The beds were lovely and comfortable and my grandaughter was delighted by how close we were to the beach, one of her favourites places to visit when we come to Aberystwyth.
The nice staff, the free parking space (3 spaces), the tidy and comfort room and the cleanliness of the shared bathroom. Although no breakfast provided, it's at the heart of Aberystwyth and 50 metres from the sea, very convenience.
The location and staff were great. We went out and when we came back, a couple of bottles of water and a box of chocolates were left for us. A very nice touch.
Nothing to dislike
Makes y Mor is in a great location, just one street back from the seafront and couldn't be any closer to the centre of town. The guest house offers bed without meals, which suited us, so we could choose our own evening meal and breakfast, what we wanted and when we wanted it. We didn't use it, but there was a clean kitchen with cooker & oven, utensils, plates etc to really self-cater if we wanted. Wifi was very good speed and signal in our rooms. Bathrooms were shared, but clean and decent showers, and we didn't have to wait in the morning (I did use the upstairs one some of time, no big deal).
Parking was quite limited, first come, first served, but on street free overnight or next to the cinema, although these are Pay & Display until 6.00pm or after 8.00am.
We were a group of motorcyclists enjoying a last trip to Wales before winter. We were kindly put together in the newly re-furbished house. It was lovely accommodation - like staying in someones house, rather than a hotel. We were able to keep our bikes safely round the back and the town centre is literally a stones throw away.
nothing really, highly recommended.
I found the accomodation clean & comfortable. Great location. Reasonable price & straight forward service.
Location right in heart of town, just minutes walk to everything. Great to be able to park on site too. Room decor was modern & bed extremely comfortable. Great to be left to own devices with no one fussing around, although help there if needed. Room & bathroom very clean and fresh.
Although fully aware of the shared bathroom situation. A small wash hand basin in the room would be great.
Clean, modern design, spacious room, good shower (with two heads). reasonably priced, excellent central location, comfortable bed with nice bedding. Kitchen with large table for dining, as well as well appointed lounge. Room had Velux windows with integral blackout blinds, so you can sleep in if you need to, offering a glimpse of a sea view but also ample ventilation.
Two flights of steep, narrow, stairs to get to the room. Parking is limited, and first-come, first-served, so no guarantee of a space. No staff onsite much of the time, so interactions must be arranged by phone first. Limited check-in times. None of these things are deal-breakers, just minor gripes, and should not dissuade you from staying here!
Excellent staff, nice rooms, one block from the sea, very clean and comfy
We were woken by a few drunk girls coming in at 4am, but that had nothing to do with the hotel itself...
The room was amazing. Lush decorations, fab location and a very comfortable bedroom. Staff friendly and willing to help. Would definitely go back.
Loved the fact that downstairs there was a full kitchen so that we could make our own snacks and tea/coffee. (Fresh milk, coffee and tea was provided). Nice toiletries and bath robes were provided
It was like having a holiday cottage for the two nights. Very clean, well equipped and relaxing.
Late night / early morning students were a little noisy.
The room was extremely comfortable and the location was fantastic, less than a minutes walk to the seafront. A great place which I would definately recommend to my friends.
Walk by the sea and onto the pier.
The hotel was a great place to stay for the night, with really comfortable rooms and helpful staff. All facilities were really clean, there was high speed wifi, kitchens and even a laundry which were functional and useful.
I wasn't aware before arriving that only the master room has an ensuite so sharing with 3 other rooms was difficult at peak times. Also although the hotel was close to the centre, it was also next to a cinema which could be noisy
This made a refreshing change from a B&B for a short visit when you don't want a holiday let. A very comfortable place to stay that gives freedom to come and go as you want, with top quality facilities and finishes.
