The beautiful period house is privately owned and personally supervised by the resident proprietors. The hall was built in 1535 and is Grade II heritage-listed and still retains many original features. Most bedrooms are within the main house and some others are located in the Coach House just across the front lawn. Hotel Rooms: 18

The location, the room,(24 is fantastic) the ambiance and look of the place. One of the nicest, most comfortable hotels I have visited in recent months. A couple of minor issues on arrival were quickly sorted. I did however order a beef and horseradish sandwich via room service which arrived minus the horseradish! I was too tired to complain but considering that they were not frantically busy it was a disappointing oversight for such an establishment. Everything else was perfect.

Great staff always there to help with a smile! I stayed in the main house and the annexe in the past. Main house bedrooms are much better but cost more. As with many hotels, it lacked one of the most important of things - a good shower. It just wouldn't maintain a steady temperature.

The building is beautiful and has a great deal of character. There was an amazing log fire, The staff are excellent, food good and it's very comfortable. Only soap provided - no toiletries.

Quiet efficiency, excellent food, good taste in furnishing and dining room equipment - particularly liked the water jug and the two cup cafetiere. Very pleasant staff. A very enjoyable overnight visit which would have been better still if the weather was better!

Good staff and decent breakfast. Despite asking for a good bed the mattress was lumpy and very uncomfortable and spoiled my stay if I'm honest. Bathroom small and needs to provide more than just a basic soap/shampoo for the price. Overall - dissapointing.

This is an excellent hotel. I was made very welcome and looked after. The room was a good size and the four poster bed comfortable. The hotel is full of old world charm. I had the full Welsh breakfast and was asked if I needed anything else! Would certainly have this hotel on my list for a short holiday break.

Very comfortable. Good standard of facilities at the price. Quiet, peaceful location in beautiful countryside. Good restaurant. No hesitation in recommending for a weekend break, or for a business stay. Bathroom was acceptable, but not of the highest standard. Shower was poor (low water pressure).

Beautiful manor house set in a fantastic location, ideal for relaxing and snuggling up in front of the log fire. Room was airy and comfortable and the food was lovely. The shower wasn't consistant it was either red hot or freezing cold and the pressure was poor.
