Was given a warm welcome by Mark and his wife and even Ricky the cat, a brief history of the building was given over coffee and homemade scones then your left to enjoy the place to yourself. The rooms are amazing and very comfortable and breakfast well worth it, pity Mark doesn't offer evening dinner.
Couldn't find fault with anything but if I'm being really picky would have been lovely not to have to leave to go out for dinner, would have been lovely to sit and enjoy the beautiful rooms over a bottle of red whilst relaxing by the huge fireplaces.
Breakfast was amazing, the suite was fantastic the Manor is lovely and Mark was a great host.
The area, character of the hotel and warmth of the owners.
Absolutely everything ! cannot wait to return !
The hosts are amazingly welcoming and really try to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The manor has just two rooms so you won't be seeing a lot of people, which was exactly the plan. The surroundings are breathtakingly beautiful and there is plenty to do for a day outside. Absolute top notch!
We were made most welcome by Mark and shown around this wonderful building. Bedroom was spacious and comfortable. Great bathroom . Lovely home cooked breakfast . Will go again.
From arrival up until we left Mark the owner was an outstanding host, providing us with information on the property and trying to make outer stay as enjoyable as he possibly could. The food was excellent and we would not hesitate in recommending the place
That we couldn't stay longer!
Location Manor House & gardens History of the building & internal decoration Room & facilities therein Breakfast options and food itself Staff - welcoming & informative
Wow, where to begin. We travelled around Wales for a week, and stayed at lovely spots all week, but the Manor was a true highlight. Mark and Karen were amazing hosts, the rooms were breathtaking, around every corner was another treasure that you didn't notice the twentieth time you walked past. Breakfast...wow. They also sent us to the old railway inn for dinner, which was fantastic and we felt truly welcomed. The grounds are incredible too. Check out the stunning Steinway (and if you're lucky, ask Mark to show it off!) and the polyphone in the same room. Run, don't walk, to experience this place.
Honestly, I'm not sure I could come up with a single thing. The signage approaching the manor is a bit small and easy to miss. Otherwise, perfection.
Everything Maybe have 1 Belgian breakfast and poached eggs or 1 small Welsh breakfast for the variety ... The portions are v filling!
Mark was an excellent host, giving us a warm welcome and entertaining us with the history of this fantastic property. Our suite was spacious and luxurious and gave us the oasis of calm we were seeking on our last holiday weekend before returning to work. The breakfast was also an event to be savoured, served in a most spectacular dining room. Mine, in particular, was a tasty and filling feast of Belgian waffles, with yogurt and various ingredients, including kiwi fruit and honey. Absolutely delicious and unusual. The fact that, with Mark's help, we found a superb place to eat in the evening (the Belle, about two miles away) just topped off a fantastic experience.
Nothing, apart from regretting we hadn't booked a longer stay.
Where do you start! A fabulous package, great location, sumptuous accommodation, clean, comfortable. The hosts, Mark and Karen do a wonderful job of making your stay as enjoyable and memorable as possible. Fantastic cuisine at the breakfast table. Highly recommended
Extraordinary house and grounds. A bit difficult to find at first, but handy for Lampeter and the coast. Mark was the perfect host, and the room was huge and stunning. We would certainly recommend Maesycrugaiu to anyone wanting to stay in the area.
A wonderful location in a building that could be part of The National Trust properties! Very peaceful surroundings. We received a very warm welcome and Mark is a superb cook. His breakfasts were exquisite. The bedroom and bathroom are very comfortable. "Large" is an understatement here. Karen has given attention to every small detail. We would love to return in the near future.
Nothing we disliked.
This bed and breakfast exceeded all of our expectations. The house itself has been restored with amazing attention to detail and the resulting ambience is truly wonderful. The food provided was of a high degree of quality and sophistication and was prepared and presented in a manner I have seldom experienced. If you enjoy accommodations which offer both a wonderful experience and exquisite service this is for you. The suites are palatial and the rural setting could not be more perfect. Do not miss this one....
There is nothing I disliked.
A BAR ,AND PERHAPS A RESTUARANT

amazing en suite
Fabulous host, excellent breakfast, beautiful location and grounds
Very helpful friendly hosts who provided excellent accommodation in a lovely château style building with the owners passion for classical arts & music a prominent feature through-out whilst complimenting the unique charm & character of the setting .Along with the attention to detail in the surrounding gardens a first class experience.would not hesitate recommending to others.
The owners' caring nature. The ambience of the property. The exciting breakfast choices. The delightful suite. The walk in the grounds. The dining room and the sitting room.
Incredibly comfortable and peaceful. Mark's breakfasts are delicious and he was also able to describe the area and recommend places to visit. A really wonderful place to stay.
Everything, beautiful setting, excellent breakfast.
Nothing, wish I could have stayed longer
Everything you would expect...and even more!
It is impossible to say anything bad about this superb hotel. The hosts are incredibly interesting and welcoming people; the building and grounds are beautiful; the rooms are exceptionally large and very tastefully decorated; the breakfast is unique and tastes fabulous, and the recommendations of Mark of where to eat and what to see were spot on. The value for money here is amazing - you'd be foolish not to take the opportunity to stay here.
