I liked the location.
The room was tired and dated. Not was I was expecting the photographs. A fairly basic pub with rooms attached.
Rustic charm, pub was built in 1649! Although the hotel was on busy road, our room was down the back, away from all the traffic noise. Good heating. Good shower. Plenty of parking on site (although driveway was very narrow). WiFi worked in the room. Good breakfast.
Nothing really - maybe if I had to criticise it would be the very narrow entrance to the car park.
A very nice place
Very comfy 4 poster bed, nice size room and friendly / helpful staff on arrival. Lovely area - Woburn Abbey is beautiful. Good value for money.
Breakfast is until 10.30 am....hint.... arrive earlier than 10.15 am as otherwise you will hear the chef's opinion of you being 'late'!
Great location and reasonable price
Cannot fault this accomodation; staff pleasant, comfortable night's sleep and breakfast good. The hotel is easy to find and there is free parking.
Excellent value and very convenient for our stay. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
The double bed was surprisingly short which would have been an issue for anyone over 6ft. The food and particularly the sausages at breakfast were a bit average.
The location and the friendly staff. Excellent breakfast and very good value for money as we stayed on a Sunday night.
A bit dated - needs a lick of paint
Unspeakably poor. Flat out ripped me off and refused to return my money after a legitimate complaint. I will pursue further.
We really appreciated the fact we were allowed to take our dog with us. Staff were very friendly, breakfast was excellent.
The staff were very friendly and allowed us to check in early so that we could drop of our things and make a wedding at 2pm (on time).
The staff were very friendly, especially the young girl who booked us in and served us in the bar. And the lady that served breakfast was very down to earth and pleasant. I would have liked the room to have been more like the pub, with beams and like but it was v clean and couldn't fault it.
We couldn't get a meal when we arrived as they don't do evening meals sun eve however the young lady did offer to make us a sandwich, gave us cutlery incase we got a takeaway and did recommend good places to eat.
everything else. . . furniture all needs replacing. could not open window in bedroom. you needed to be 6ft tall to put clothes on hangers in wardrobe. needed to be midget to have a shower. shower controls so stiff they were difficult to operate.
General ambience and friendly staffs
quaint+friendly+ good breakfast.
Helpfulness of staff, clean and comfortable room, value for money, food good,
Needs more improvements, an old Inn, will be great when complete.
good location, lovely food and a quaint room in the old part of the inn
mattress was far too soft but as only for one night was bearable
Traditional old coaching lodge with character in the centre of the main street
The entrance to the car park was very narrow, on the plus side, there was a residents car park and there were signs to help us.
Room was clean and tidy , Cumfy bed, staff were very helpfull , good parking for cars only , this is a 16 th century building and as such the wonky doors and wooden beams are just a lovely feature of the whole stay .
Wait at the bar was sometimes a while .
All of the staff were very friendly and happy to help. The room was freshly decorated and the ensuite was modern and clean. Breakfast was hot and tasty. We stayed there to see Kings of Leon at the Milton Keynes Bowl. £12 fart from hotel to bowl but beware that the taxis will charge £30 to £60 return so agree the fare before you get in.
For the money the change I can't think of anything negative to say.
Lovely historic hotel in a beautiful little town.
Staff, Breakfast, Efficiency
Hard Pillows, Uncomfortable mattress, Small Towels
Good location. Efficient and friendly service. Great bacon sandwiches. Free wifi.
Tired looking bedroom. Old fashioned mismatched furniture. No air con or fan. Poor view.
Very well situated for Woburn Abbey, which is less than two miles away. The Inn is very old and quaint. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Woburn village is very nice with plenty of facilities for the visitor.
