Excellent hotel in good location with friendly staff. Good breakfast and evening meal option. Parking at front of hotel is limited but there is also on street parking. Good to have in room tea/coffee making facilities but tea bags provided not nice. Bed a bit uncomfortable (noticeable springs).

Great hotel at a great price. Ricky and Isabella great hosts and made me feel really welcome as did the rest of the staff and as I was travelling on my own this was really appreciated, nothing was too much trouble for any of them. The hotel offers evening meals which were really reasonably priced and the food delicious the only draw back, the meals were huge so could never finish it all so felt bad for leaving food! The hotel is ideally situated if you want a more peaceful holiday but St Helier is easy to get too either by car or the bus stop is just a couple of minutes away from the hotel and only takes about 30 minutes to get into town.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and all the staff were excellent. The room was very clean and more than adequate. We dined twice in the hotel in the evenings and the food was plentiful, hot and excellent value at £12.50. Breakfasts were good as was the service. Overall we found the hotel excellent value for money. We, personally found the main lounge to be rather dark and unwelcoming and walking through the smoke at the entrance to the hotel was not pleasant and would have an adverse effect on passers by as to the quality of the hotel.

Booked for b&b intending to eat somewhere different each evening but the dinners were so good and such exceptional value for money that we ate in hotel almost every night. Room was basic but quite spacious and very clean. We would definitely stay here again.

The Hotel was kept very clean by all the staff, food was excellent, beds comfortable, good size lounge & bar. Tv lounge, and of course wifi in public areas. It was hot at night and had the windows open but we where nearly above the main entrance where smokers gathered so unfortunately the smoke drifted into our room.

Staff. Cleanliness and location. My bed was too soft and creaky. Music at breakfast could have been bit more relaxed and soothing.

This hotel more than filled our expectations. We arrived to a very warm welcome. Our rooms were spotlessly clean (as was the hotel) and comfortable. We were not disappointed by the food either, with a very good choice of home cooked meals at both breakfast & evening dinner. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners or the staff at the Maison Gorey, we felt that we were staying with a family rather than just booking into a hotel. Also you are just a ten minute walk from the stunning Gorey Harbour which is a wonderful way to spend a lazy day just taking in the sights. We would recommend this hotel without reservation and would like to thank everyone there who made our stay so very enjoyable and special. Lastly just to say we will be going back.

I liked the comfortable, welcoming accommodation here, at a standard which is outstanding value for money in my opinion. My room was well equipped and spotlessly clean and the staff are great. I also liked the location, as it really is only minutes from the beach and harbour.

A friend and I stayed on a b&b basis. Very relaxing hotel with the option of other meals available, we had dinner one evening and we found the food lovely and the price reasonable, very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel is handy for the Castle and the bus stop is just a few minutes down the road.

I stayed along with my parents for three nights. I booked a single room but was given a twin room (at no extra charge). My parents had booked a twin room but got a room with a shower but no bath. We managed to change that to a double with a bath instead (no problems in making the exchange). The Hotel is situated in the small village of Gorey which has a few shops (post office/covenience store, off licence, fish and chip shop, greengrocers etc) and one other hotel (Old Bank House) which does a lovely cream tea according to my mum (Trust me, she is an expert !). They also had an entertaining grey parrot in the garden. Dont know if it is actually male or female but it frequently keeps telling everyone "who is a pretty boy then" ! There is also a small sit down Chinese restaurant in the village which we visited one night which was excellent. We tried the evening meal at the Maison Gorey (three course for only £12.50 for residents) which was also excellent. Restaurant and bar area roomy and comfortable. The staff were both friendly and attentive and (for a 2 star establishment) i would say good value for the money. Would visit again. Breakfast menu a bit limited I.e only weetabix or cornflakes available as cereals. The Full English Breakfast was not fried (all grilled/griddled). I did ask for fried bread but my request was declined. However, I suppose pretty typical these days (either for health or ease of cooking reasons). Decor a bit dated but it looks like they are trying to refurbish some of the rooms on an opportunity basis.

My w9fe and I spent 4 nights at MAison Gorey. Excellent hotel surpassed our expectations. Lovely staff, very helpful. Large airy room amd bathroom,s;otlessly clean, and brightly decorated. We ate in the hotel restaurant. The food was delicious, well cooked and presented. We think that the food used was all fresh and local. No sign odf a m/wave. Hope they pay their chef well. A nice quiet location, within easy walk(5min) of bus stop. About 10 min stroll to Gorey castle. Only drawback..limited parking at hotel, but fre local car park close by .Would be very happy to go there again.

I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel; it was actually better than I had anticipated. It was ideally situated in a quiet area but was very convenient for getting out and about; either on foot or by road.My room was well appointed and generally quiet. The food was very good; with quite a wide choice which,as a non meat eater, was pleasing. One young lady who served in the restaurant and also helped at reception was excellent. Apart from her the service could be a bit random; waiting for a menu for instance could take a long time. That said the service was friendly.

This is an excellent hotel. Not only is it very reasonably priced but the staff are polite, efficient and friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. I was given a very friendly welcome and my room had been upgraded. The breakfast and evening meals were really good; in the evening there was a good choice of tasty dishes, served piping hot and with very generous helpings. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel; it's a gem!
