The staff were very helpful. I was not at all impressed with the room as it was dated and could do with a good deep clean. The hotel staff were lovely, very helpful and professional. I only had a burger and chips for dinner and the burger was home made and lovely, well done chef. I stay at a lot of hotels around the UK as I organise the our company events and I was most suprised when told that you use the hotel mainly for weddings, I'm guessing you have a seperate function room as I found the bar eating area very scruffy and dated, it could do with a refresh on the decor as the marks and chipped paint work really brought the hotel down. I have made my comments above and hope that you take this as positive feed back and if I should return in the future I would hope that the feed back given has been acted upon. WEBSITE: The website requested any booking information for the hotel, I requested when booking my night stay that the hotel pre book a taxi to Southend Airport and arrange a wake up call however, on my way back to my room I asked reception if this had been arranged and the answer was no, they could not arrange the alarm call because there was no night porter/reception staff to make the call and no information had beeen sent through to the hotel from booking with booking.com! DON'T ASSUME ALWAYS ASK! Again very helpful and friendly reception staff, please pass on my thanks they do a great job.

Nice room, good breakfast Limited parking at the front of the hotel - but there is an adjacent council run car park which is free after 1pm on Saturday and all day Sunday

The facilities in the room were not totally good. The kettle did not turn off and as a result overheated. Fortunately no accident occurred but it could easily have caused one. The tv did not cover all major channels

We stayed for 1 night at the Rochford Hotel to attend a Wedding Reception nearby. The cooked Breakfast was excellent. Would definitely stay again. Also convenient for London Southend Airport.

Very comfortable bed. Plenty of space in the room. Pleasant breakfast. Friendly staff. Parking arrangements (not enough parking, overflow in nearby public car park where you have to get up before 7am to buy a ticket!). Uninspired evening meal menu in restaurant.

Staff were very helpful helping get cars out of the snow Jobs worth barman who turned the rugby off the 5 minutes to go because they had a private function starting in 45 minutes time. Went back on after we complained but he had an attitude.

Perfectly nice hotel for a business trip. Food was nice but felt could be a bit nicer. Not easy to find, not sign posted off the road but discovered this was the councils fault, figures eh!

I liked the location, the appearance of the hotel, colours used, shutters etc.The room was spacious, very comfy bed and friendly staff. I loved the breakfast and the fact that it was quiet.Also the town itself was beautiful. Not really a complaint but I would have liked to be able to open the window. Also I could not get the cold water to work in the bath and had to ask staff member and also the jacuzzi in the bath did not work.

Not a lot. The rooms where dirty the bath had to be cleaned before we used it, the carpet was thread bear, the towel rail heater was held on by electric tape exposing electrical connections. The rooms have seen better days, I find it shocking they can charge West End prices!!!
