For a hotel at short notice, the price for bed and breakfast was very good. The room was very spacious with a large double bed. It had a modern, boutique feel to it and wasn't noisy! The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would stay again.

Staff were very helpful helping get cars out of the snow Jobs worth barman who turned the rugby off the 5 minutes to go because they had a private function starting in 45 minutes time. Went back on after we complained but he had an attitude.

Perfectly nice hotel for a business trip. Food was nice but felt could be a bit nicer. Not easy to find, not sign posted off the road but discovered this was the councils fault, figures eh!

I liked the location, the appearance of the hotel, colours used, shutters etc.The room was spacious, very comfy bed and friendly staff. I loved the breakfast and the fact that it was quiet. Also the town itself was beautiful. Not really a complaint but I would have liked to be able to open the window. Also I could not get the cold water to work in the bath and had to ask staff member and also the jacuzzi in the bath did not work.

Not a lot. The rooms where dirty the bath had to be cleaned before we used it, the carpet was thread bear, the towel rail heater was held on by electric tape exposing electrical connections. The rooms have seen better days, I find it shocking they can charge West End prices!!!

Staff resolved issues as quickly as possible and the bed was very comfortable, good room size The room was cold the small heater was broken, when replaced it was still too small to heat a room that size. The bath taps did not work so we had to fill the tub from the slow running shower. The room had not been hoovered and dusted thoroughly, one of our party suffers from dust allergy and spent the entire stay suffering from breathing difficulties resulting in us leaving early before breakfast.

It was close to where I need to be for a business meeting. The room was good but living in the countrside as I do it took quite a while to get used to the noise from the adjoining road that my room faced before going to sleep. Perhaps another layer of glazing would help I also found the mid week menue a little limited even for a bar menue compared with my local pub. If I stay again I will probably eat out. Breakfast just about right. #Thanks

Its proximity to the Station and more notably the Rochford Beer Festival held every November. Loved the breakfasts Bed was a little tired, and hate shower curtains that stick to you

I normally stay in the premier in,it was fully booked on the tuesday..i stayed in the premier on the wed and took a chance staying in the rochford on the tuesday...i am so glad I did and wished I had bokked the tuesday and the wednesday ...my brother and his wife had stayed in the premier both nights ...I have recommended to all my family to stay in the rochford ... ...the room was large and comfortable ,the bathroom was clean but I didnt like the coloured suite...or the carpet in the bedroom but the good things out weighed the bad...the breakfast was included in the price and the staff and food were lovely...we had to claim back the £15.98 from the premier inn for our breakfast because it was so bad....overall I would tell everyone to stay in the rochford...well done Carpets and bathroom a bit dated

The reception we recieved upon booking in was very welcoming and although the room was budget price in our opinion, the room was very clean, comfortable and the breakfast in the morning was very good too. Thumbs up. Would recommend. Our room was on a roadside so we heard traffic noise in the night. Had we known we might have asked to change rooms but it wasn't so disruptive. The walls are also very thin - we heard next rooms nighttime antics which wasn't so pleasant!

“The friendliness and helpfullness of the staff was excellent. Knowing I was travelling solo, they made my stay as relaxing as possible; even choosing a table in the restaurant where I would feel comfortable on my own. The staff were very attentive. The view from the restaurant was lovely, even on the cold, windy, rainy day that I was there.” Julie, Redlynch, Wiltshire |
