the bed was not comfortable and it was not a double, it was two singles pushed together which is frankly unacceptable at a supposed four star accommodation not to mention the mattresses were lumpy, so not only were they two singles pushed together they were two uncomfortable singles.
I received phone calls off the housekeepers asking me if i wanted the room cleaning which again i find totally unacceptable, i dont want to be contacted in my room by staff unless its an emergency, i found it terribly rude and lazy, as i had the do not disturb sign on my door, so obviously i dont want disturbing by knocks on the door or phone calls, it just seemed that the housekeepers couldnt be bothered to get up the stairs and check. not to mention on the last day they entered the room while i was still there to clean, which again seemed strange as i still had my do not disturb sign on the door, so i wast happy about that. surely all they had to do was check with reception to see if my room had been check out yet, which it hadnt.
those were the only major issues i had, but they're quite major, the bed is definitely an issue, especially at 4 star level, you just dont expect that sort of thing, uncomfortable maybe but not two singles pushed together and called a double.
and the phonecalls to the room just seemed unprofessional and affected the comfort and privacy of the stay
lovely bathroom, really decent shower and a heated towel rack which was useful, well equipped kitchen, they gave us everything we needed to make meals in the room and cater for ourselves really big fridge/freezer as well so we had a lot of storage space, comfortable living area, nice comfortable sofa and a lamp so you can have soft lighting in the evenings, really good curtains in the bedroom they blocked out the sun even at midday which allowed for a pretty un interupted lie in, friendly reception staff, we were greeted by jakub firstly and we had read about him in previous reviews saying he had been rude but we couldnt disagree more he was professional and friendly and welcoming.
