Mallards is a comfortable holiday cottage and is part of a lovely range of converted, traditional, 17th-century chalk and flint barns, set in their own maintained grounds in Thornham on the North Norfolk Coast, an area noted for its natural beauty, wildlife, and relaxed atmosphere. Mallards sleeps 8 and there is also accommodation for an infant in the travel cot provided. The ground floor consists of a kitchen, lobby and large living room with exposed beams, wood effect floors, inglenook, and wood-burning stove (fuel available at the nearby deli/shop). Both bath/shower rooms are also equipped with heated towel rails. There is also a clothes horse on site for drying clothes outside in sunny weather. Outside, the cottage has front and rear gardens. Sliding doors open onto the front lawned garden which catches the morning sun. To the rear, a standing barbecue is built into the wall of the yard, which catches the evening sun in spring and summer. Thornham is a charming, picturesque, and quiet village, close to the old harbour and sea, and is surrounded by open countryside.
