Very relaxed, homely, friendly environment and staff. We liked the hotel and will return if we wish to stay in that area.

Noise in room overnight, buzzing noise that was difficult to identify

The rooms are comfortable, the staff very friendly and helpful almost a family atmosphere. The food is just superb!

Beautiful setting, house, fixtures and fittings

Bathroom could have been a little cleaner.

As soon as my partner and I arrived we were greeted politely and we felt extremely welcome. We were taken up to our room and my bag was carried for me, we were given information about the services that we could experience and were showed around our room. We dined in the less formal restaurant and we were extremely well looked after with attentive waiters/waitresses. The food was absoloutely delicious, a must for any guest! The room was spacious and well equipped, warm and comfortable. Breakfast was bought up to our room free of charge which we took advantage of and was also delicious. A very enjoyable stay and would reccommend this hotel to anyone who needs a break away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoys luxurious weekends away!

The ambience and service were true to the period. It was such a nice change from the usual Americanised clinical surroundings in many hotels I have stayed in.The staff could not have been more helpful, once again very British! The food in the restaurant was mouth-watering and fairly priced with attentive but unobtrusive waiting staff. I would highly recommend this hotel to my friends.

The location was perfect.

It was not up to Relais service levels and the restaurant service was very poor.

Every thing from start to finish was wonderful! Staff very helpful and Friendly, Food was wonderful! We were upgraded and the room was out of this world! Could not have wished for anything nicer, Cant wait to back again x

Our room was smelly at times and shower had brown water coming out of it and then stopped , the room was an exclusive room

The staff and gardens

We booked evening meal £60 a head and expected great things, wife's meal was so poor we complained, as did two other tables near us. Staff apologetic but unable to diffuse tension as a result of ruined evening. A small deduction from cost of meal next morning was too little too late.We subsequently found out head chef was off, his substitute was not up to the mark that night never heard so many complaints in one place. Could have been handled better pity poor waiting staff trying to cope with the mess, no manager's came to apologise

We were unable to enjoy our stay as much as we had hoped as my husband had flu and was unwell. However the staff were very caring and attentive and rang our room daily to ask how we were and offer any room service we required. I will definately be returning to this hotel.

No subtitles available on the bedroom TV Plaster falling off of wall in bedroom in a couple of places Poor finish in bathroom - panels not mating to walls and dust was evident in gaps

The service and staff were excellent and breakfast was very good.

Dinner in bistro was fine for 5 of my family, but one other was served a cold meal and when sent back didn't come back in a satisfactory state.

Shower leaked onto bathroom floor. We could hear every move of the people in neighbouring room. Small room for the money charged.

Good food and staff. Chesterton room not so good, very small and any noise from reception may have been in the room. More of a problem at 7.15 am. when doors began to bang.

Quality food, friendly polite staff. lovely decor, superb location if you have a car if not 15min ride to Town having said that I would go back and pay the taxi fare the hotel grounds are beautiful

Not near railway station no bus service nearby and it is down a long country lane

Very comfortable room and excellent staff who are very attentive. Have stayed at the hotel before and will do so again in the future - by far the best hotel in the location.

Nothing to dislike!

We have stayed several times and love it. We stayed at le manoir quatre saisons once as a change and much prefer mallory court. The breakfast alone would persuade me to stay!
