I enjoyed the atmosphere and the quality of everything in the hotel. We booked a "superior" room and I was disappointed that turned out to be below street level. No view from the full length window.

We felt that the location is perfect for where you want to be x The food was excellent and staff were great x We were very dissappointed to find the heating in our room wasn't working We were not informed of this until We were checked in the room And had to call down to reception to then be told they are controlling the heating from reception and this would take 20mins to heat! We waited for this to work but nothing and still very cold in the room we were then given a heater and dressing gowns to the room but was later informed that the heater we had been given a heater which was avtually faulty and could have set fire to the room! Since then we have both suffered from very bad colds !!!! I'm very dissappointed as this was meant to be a treat for our anniversary !!!!!!

As you can see by our responses we enjoyed our stay very much. In the 'could do better' category, we would recopmmend better lighting in the room and in the bathroom (try finding black gloves on a black chair in dim lighting!) Also we think the service at Breakfast is lacking in good organisation of the staff. Everyone seemed to be working hard, but not smart! You need a manager for the breakfast staff and the staff need a clear system. We gave up on the toast that was meant to be coming after a very long wait!

Conveniently located on Queens road for business Restuarant exceeded expectation but not cheap Second best hotel in Aberdeen in my opinion and certainly the cosiest Spiral stair case down to some rooms and no help with cases etc Plenty bar staff apparently but service was very slow probably because the staff have to attend the till as well and this seems to be a bottle neck. Otherwise everything was spot on

The resturant and bar staff were inflexible to accomodating visitors without reservations. My party was even refused a seat at the bar to have dinner.

I liked the location, nice walk to the main shopping street in Aberdeen. Hotel was clean, tidy and had a good atmosphere in the bars from mid- afternoon until late evening. My wife and I along with our friends were very impressed. Only a couple of irritations,on our 2nd day we went on a whole day shopping trip from 08:45 until 16:45,only to find on arrival back at hotel, the room wasn't made up,also our key cards didn't work, had to wait until room was remedied. Only other small observation point, the staff were all very young who were okay, but didn't seem to have a leader, maybe a lack of professional experience showed.

The staff tried their best to be as helpful as possible under difficult circumstances (technology problems in the brasserie on the night we ate there). The room was very gloomy, dark and heavy curtains, paintwork and woodwork, not enough ambient lighting.

Lovely sized rooms.Very comfortable beds.Great breakfast. Thought it would be easier as a resident to get a good time booked for restaurant but even a week before check in the only available slot was 9.30 pm or 6.00.We were seated at the entrance to the restaurant near the serving area and it was very cold and noisy. If I had known that this was the way sooner I would have preferred a 7.30 booking.

The room , bathroom . Well I walked through the door was met by friendly staff but then non of my selected bank cards were excepted , now I have been all over the world with these bank cards , credit cards and they all worked, the woman behind the desk then said it was my cards, but I no it was not , but then had to go walk about half mile to nearest bank to withdraw to prove , cos theres no bank machine in the hotel, they did accept my cash , but thats made me now worry about going back to malmasion hotel in the feature , there was a guy after me aswell had problems with his cards aswell , I hope they do realise its there machines and not the people , got a breakfast in morning the rolls were hard not fresh, poched eggs were defo not poched , and there was no beans with the breakfast , no sauces , , and on the sat night I had room service aventualy after 45 mins yes just orderded sum ice and to glasses of water ,,,,,

Mal Maison is located on one of the most prestigious areas in Aberdeen. The building is beautiful from the outside with old charm but amazingly modern inside. The welcome was friendly, the room which was huge, clean and luxurious was everything I expect from a hotel of this name. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone. I had a facial the morning I left and it was without doubt one of the best ever. If ever in Aberdeen again, will definitely stay here. Staff were efficient and friendly. Next time though, it will definitely be for longer! If this is the stardard in all Mal Maison Hotels I will look for these hotels first before booking any other.

We come to the Malmasion at ;least twice a year for a relaxing time away from the kids. Enjoy relaxing in the room, food is great and staff are always so helpful. Poor lighting in rooms for women to do hair and amke-up in evenings.Requested a ground floor room but didnt get one

The food was excellent, staff very friendly. In the lower rooms (20) and even in the lounge wireless connection was very poor. As I use the Iphone tech not a laptop (it has no LAN connection), it made work slow.

Amazing hotel, with great restaurant, superb breakfast and absolutely great staff. We are Malmaison Fans now. They even provide you with lovely pillow and bowl for your pooch. Pillows could be much better; they are too hard and they feel worn out.

The Malmaison In Aberdeen was a wonderful stay. The hotel is very well appointed with a balance of modern/traditional elements to it. The bar has a great feel to it and I thoroughly enjoyed dining in the restaurant. Staff were friendly and helpful and I wouldn't hesitate in coming back or recommending it. 5 star!! Well done!
