We found the staff friendly and helpful. Loved the fact we didn't have to check out before midday - especially after our daughter's late graduation party the night before. Serving breakfast til 10..00 also helped. Bed was immensely comfortable and of a very generous size. Liked the fact the bathroom had body lotion as well as shampoo etc, as had forgotten mine. Altogehter a very relaxed and supremely comfortable experience. Although the firidge in our room was well stocked - would have liked a fruit juice option. Al the soft drinks( except watre) were fizzy.

One night only.In my view Malmaison is ahead of the competition in terms of design, style and comfort. "Superior" double room had desk and additional seating. Location is on the western side of city centre in a quiet location,5-10 minutes walk from main shopping, closer to good restaurants and bars. The room didn't have residents lift access - check that if you need it.

The decor and comfort of the whole hotel was amazing. The staff were helpful and friendly on arrival but the receptionist who checked us out didn't ask us if we enjoyed our stay. The bar was beautiful and you get complimentary Olives and Peanuts and the Cocktails are made very professionally. Location is great for Charing Cross Train Station and the bars down Bath Street. Although the decor and comfort factor was fabulous, I paid for a superior suite but I didn't feel that the Superior Suite gave me anything extra than a basic room, not for the price anyway. Also, during the night the cold water tap was coming out hot (in the bath as well), which meant we had no choice to drink the water from the mini bar at £3.75 a bottle!! Is this a ploy for people who've been out partying, who get a beer thirst on to drink from the mini bar?? As it seemed that the tap water was fine by 10am the next day?? Hmmmm I wonder......My advice would be to buy a nice big bottle of water from Tesco's for your night time beer thirst!

Enjoyed the glamorous feel of the place and the desk and the staff were all very friendly and efficient Just a bit disappointed that we couldn't use the restaurant or champagne bar in the evening because of a wedding party.

The car parking was a drive away from the hotel and the explanation from the desk staff of how to claim back 50% of the cost was casual and inaccurate resulting in myself and one other collegue unable to claim the discount as we had already paid at the barrier.I Was also told the cost would be around £4 when in fact it was £14..

The design of the hotel is great. The staff is very nice. It's a cozy place for a relatively industrial city.

Central location but quiet - and very comfortable. Rooms and breakfast area perhaps a bit dark, decoration-wise.

The fixtures and fittings in the room were of an excellent quality and they lent an understated luxury to the stay. The hotel corridors and the room itself had particularly creaking floorboards.

The rooms were imaculate. Some of the best we have been in and we stay all across Glasgow after gigs. We had a meal in the resteraunt and it was poor to say the least. The starter which we both had (duck) was one of the worst we have had. The main meal which my girlfriend had which was the mal burger was completely dried out. Afterwards she was ill from when we entered the room until the next morning.

I liked the general ambience: the rooms are good quality and the breakfast excellent. The staff are very friendly too. The only thing I wasn't keen on was the bar and snacks in the room which were very tempting but over priced.
