Lovely room. Great staff. Few minutes from everythibg
Room was a bit cold. But staff offered to move me
The staff were incredibly friendly. Super service. Really comfortable bed and pillows
We got a great rate on booking.com. Due to the availability online I had to make two separate bookings for our 2 night stay. When I phoned the staff were so helpful and accommodating they changed our room so we didn't have to move. We felt entirely spoilt the whole trip. I can't recommend the new Honours restaurant enough. Impeccable service with great banter and the food was the beautiful. The chef's extra treats for us on special our day were gorgeous.
Only downside is long stay parking is the nearest muti story but it is the city centre so expected!
Staff attitude was excellent and went above and beyond when I mentioned my celebratory bday thank you!
Despite being clean, the room smelled and seemed to be coming from bathroom. No parking and staff reluctant to suggest where I could park other than on street which had a two hour limit.
Fantastic and especially for the price.
No hairdryer in my room which I paid to have an upgrade on

Room 118 - Freezing! Arctic breeze flowing in from the sash window. Radiator very noisy all night! (When combined with above = not good!) Pre-booked feather free pillows and quilt - did not happen - had to request it after settling down. (was resolved eventually though)
Although we enjoyed the hotel, the noise from loud exhausts from boy racer cars really spoiled it for us causing lack of sleep for the whole 3 nights we stayed their presence was consistent every night. The receptionist was aware and assured us the police were aware to. Unless this was guaranteed to change we wouldn't return.
facilities in hotel were excellent
prices of food/drink
very professional hotel staff were helpful and friendly and the room was immaculate. had dinner in new restaurant which was very nice and when we returned after our night out had a couple of drinks in the hotel bar also very nice
although the dinner was really good I found it to be a wee touch pricey for my liking, this is not in any way a complaint towards the food or service. it is most likely a step up from what I would normally visit
Staff were really helpfulthe boy on the various think ilhis name was conner was really chatty got a laugh with him. Plenty of space in the room. Would Defo go back. However I wasn't refunded the deposit yet. Will wait another day then contact reception.
The rate I got. The large products for use in the bathroom. Comfortable bed.
Could hear the young family next door. Paying for the water.
PRICE, COMFORT, FRIENDLINESS OF STAFF, LOCATION, LARGE TV, FREE WI-FI, GOOD SOUND SEPARATION BETWEEN ROOMS
Shower great, bed comfy
Radiator red hot and locked on. Took 2 days to sort
High bed Hotel decor
Room small Room was a bit tired looking
There was a good sized TV, The décor was tasteful and original. The staff were friendly and professional. The restaurant was first class in every way. I enjoyed my stay and would come back again. If you want something slightly different and a bit better than the average this may be the place to come.
Although the staff were nice they did tend to talk very quickly to what sounded like a pre prepared spiel. A more casual approach would possibly facilitate better communication. Although I liked the restaurant £100 for a two course meal with wine for two means it will have to be saved for an occasional treat. A bigger book in the room about the hotel would be a nice addition.
Excellent value, good location, helpful staff
Got a fantastic rate via Booking.com, and opted to upgrade to suite for only £30 extra. Hotel in good location. The staff are always very helpful. Stunning architecture, dramatic interior. Suite was spacious with huge comfy bed and living room area to relax in - if it weren't for the extremely noisy floorboards! I know it's a period building but I've never had to literally tiptoe around my hotel room before, and we could hear every step in the corridor as well as from the adjoining room AND those across the hall. Despite the fantastically comfy bed, hopes of a relaxing night away disappeared quickly. Room wasn't just as clean as previous stay, and seemed to have lost a bit of its sparkle. Still, we got a great deal and we would still go back but would choose a different room!
Extremely squeaky floorboards.
the location of the hotel, its style and above all the chance to eat downstairs without leaving the building at the excellent restaurant The Honours. The breakfast was also very good and the staff terribly kind and helpful
One ceiling light not working over the bed making the bedroom extremely dark, and the plug in the basin not holding in position : always falling in and blocking the basin with water every time we washed our hands.
Staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. Room was very well appointed as was bathroom. Bar staff excellent, unusual cocktail flavours. We had breakfast served in our room. It came on time, very well presented and extremely enjoyable.
Everything about the property was great
Zero discounted parking offered, cost almost as much as a nights stay !
Loved room, facilities were excellent. Bbreakfast a bit pricey so ate out.
Breakfast was too dear.
The staff were friendly and helpful
We were upgraded to a Duplex Suite on arrival which we were excited about. However, the suite was pretty tired looking and disappointing and the noise from both the street and internally (perhaps the heating) was terrible. No sleep until 3am when we asked to be moved. The new room was much better, so it may be hit or miss, but I would never stay in a suite there again.
