The rooms are intimate and very cosy and the bathroom facilities are cool
The bar closed very early on Friday evening but apart from that its a great hotel.
Great location and very friendly, helpful staff. Just think some of the decor is looking a little tired, but this didn't put us off and we will be staying there again
The comfort of the bed and the downstairs bar
Location. Dining room where we had breakfast. Great view and lots of light.
The bedroom needed to be redecorated, it was looking tired. The door to the fridge looked worn. The shower whilst very powerful was also extremely hot, it didn't seem possible to turn it to a cooler setting. The lifts were a bit tatty and in need of decoration.
Arrived at the hotel by taxi as it was too far to walk with suitcases from Lime Street Station at 11am and was able to leave the suitcases at reception till it was time to check in at 3pm. Lovely room and bathroom although very dimly lit.
Breakfast was very expensive so bought orange juice, fresh fruit and croissants from M&S the afternoon before and ate in the room. Drinks in the bar also expensive so again brought a bottle of wine from home. This hotel pre authorise your credit card with a £50 deposit.
Provided what you require for short city break
The hotel really is very stylish and contemporary. Great location close to The Cavern Quarter. Took us 10 minutes to walk there and to the main shopping area. The man on reception who checked us in was extremely professional and friendly.
The bed really was very very firm.I thought previous reviews were probably harsh but having stayed now can see they really weren't. Didn't like the paying 50 pounds up front for the mini bar "just in case". I know it's refunded on check out but it's just not very classy and in keeping with the hotel and the prices you pay for a standard room.
Good size room Friendly staff Room service offered
The bath tub was huge and the toiletries lovely. Large mirror superb. Staff helpful and the late night toastie was yum!
The room was a little dark and plug sockets not readily available.
Staff and people off liverpool are just so nice it's hard to fault them but the hotel in itself was just dissapointing.
sheets wer yellow and ripped in parts but noticeable, the bed was two singles pushed together I Caint stand that at all. Ordered room service Expect it would cost but the portions given wer just terrible way to small. Again the staff lovely just disappointing with the hotel itself.
Food was worst ever and price to high for standard of hotel
Quality hotel, stayed here plenty of times and will definitely be staying again. The staff are very helpful and the hotel is
Hotel was very smart and clean. Staff were really pleasant and the location was fantastic. Room itself was really nice, with excellent bathroom and bed
There was a terrible noise that kept us awake all night. It sounded like a plane taking off every 3 mins. I think it maybe to do with the hotels heating system but it was really loud and we couldn't sleep.
I like Malmaison but it is expensive and, though I haven't stayed since the company was the new kid on the block, I thought that there would be some nice little extras for the high price - like there used to be. But we didn't even get complimentary robes to add a little luxury to our post Christmas night "in" out. Disappointing.
Location of hotel and view from hotel room
Room smelt of smoke and neither my wife or me smoke. When we went down to report it to front desk, attendant was quite unhelpful at first, until he asked a porter to go and see if he thought it smelt also. Porter came back and confirmed it, only then attendant agreed to let us switch rooms. Not what you want when you are paying £219 a night and that's without breakfast.
love the big walk in shower
Good location for city centre and docks etc. Bed was big and comfortable and shower excellent
Have stayed here before and had views over waterfront. This time views over road
Service polite but slow
Beautiful hotel, lovely room and very friendly staff. Oh and excellent breakfast. Thank u
Bed was rather hard but this is a personal preference and didn't think this on my last stay
Staff particularly in bar and brasserie area were very helpful and attentive. Very well presented in the main areas of the hotel. Food was lovely.
Staff on reception less friendly. Stains on curtains and marks on the walls as well as dust in the lampshades which you wouldn't expect with what you pay for just the room.
The hotel is a really lovely place it's very nice in side staff are lovely and rooms are very nice xx
The breakfast in the dining room was excellent and the service and friendliness of the dining room staff could not be faulted.
Very noisy, filthy toilets, dark corridors, dimly lighted bedrooms, view of the river obscured by office block, uncaring reception staff, no face flannels, no shower gel, very expensive, not a hotel for the over 30s.
Ordered a taxi got told 20 mins wait and was still there at 2am! Missed an event because of this :( would like to raise complaint
