The room was fantastic. I returned to the hotel after a night out and was surprised to be asked for my room card to be allowed entry in such an apparently up market establishment. The hotel is far enough away from the city centre to hopefully not warrant this. As we sat in the reception area we also noticed others entering the hotel who seemed to be 'friends' of the security. These people were allowed in without any ID. The hotel reception was extremely busy at such an early hour of the morning and my partner and I felt very uncomfortable due to the 'down market' nature of the environment at this point. We probabaly wouldn't stay here again due to the change in atmosphere and clientele between day and evening.

Decor is dark with a hint of passion, which was rather fun for a rather faded middle-aged couple! Staff were, without exception, excellent. We spent most the weekend in Liverpool's museums, and for that purpose the location is superb and highly recommended. £15 for 22 hours parking was the only negative of the weekend. Added £45 to our bill and we used only 2 hours of the third '22-hours'. Hard not to feel that the 22 hour period is deliberately designed to rip-off. Wouldn't have minded that rate for 24 hours, but felt a bit cheated by the 22-hours.

Fantastic hotel, very modern, the plum bar staff excellent. Restaurant was good for dinning if you didn't fancy going out the hotel. Rooms are a little dark but that's just the decor... Might need the bathroom light for make up. :-) but very romantic, will definitely be booking again but for 2 nights next time x

LIked the atmosphere and decor - very quirky in the reception and bar areas. Our room was also really lovely. Loved the deep bath and the shower area too. Nothing. Would totally (and have), recommend it.

From the time we arrived nothing was too much trouble for the staff, although we arrived early and the room was not ready, staff took our luggage and kept it until we returned from the theatre. Great hotel, great room and fabulous breakfast. Will pass the word on.

On departure the on duty manager didnt ask if our stay was alright...Hotels normally do just to check that all was good for you. We had to mention something to her as she was just going to let us leave with just a quick...'ok thank you' :(

Lovely Hotel. Excellent Staff. We enjoyed our break immensely. No parking facilities. The private car park is expensive and the council parking is ridiculous. They all make you pay on bank holidays and every other day from 8 - 6pm. I had to keep king out in the morning to feed the meter, even on Xmas Day. The next time we may have to find a hotel with a car park.

Great location close to Pier Head and Liverpool One so no car needed during stay. Car parking next door at reasonable price. The 2 electricitty points in the room were not ideal for kettle or hairdryer - for a new hotel, this was poor planning. Service in the bar was very slow although they did apologise for this.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The Hotel was very modern and comfortable with a relaxing atmosphere. Stayed for just one night but didn't want to come home!!! Booked a table in the restaurant and found the food and service excellent. Would definately recommend the hotel to friends and family. There was nothing we didn't like about the hotel or our stay.

Generally like the hotel nice and modern ,good location food excellant both breakfast and dinnner, good service ,clean rooms everthing in the room you need , Bar area very small could not find a seat no bar to stand up at ,so had to go in the lobby ,then there was no atmosphere ,so went to an outside bar which is not what we wanted to do,prefer to drink in a hotel when you stay there, room very warm no widow to open if you like natural; air ,have to rely on air conditining,so didnt reallly get a good nights sleeep

The hotel was very stylish, good location, room spotless and excellent bathroom with big bath and very good shower! The breakfast was very good, lots of fruit and cereal to start and a very good choice of food to follow. The staff were most helpful, very friendly and attentive! The bar area had some good food on offer and the drinks were reasonable for the standard of hotel. All round a very good stay.

Location, decor, staff It would have been nice to have a dressing gown/towelling robe which is usually provided in such an hotel. Could not adjust air con to provide warmth as it was a windy weekend.

Trendy looking, nice rooms and reception Very expensive! Price didn include breakfast, rate far too expensive to just sleep in a room. Paid upfront when I checked in, when was checking out was then told I owed more money!!! That the receptionist got the rate of my room wrong! Was very upsetting as we were checking out when this happened. Receptionist blamed booking.com saying they changed the rate of sat night
