The room, staff at breakfast were 1st class The lady who checked us in was very abrupt, did not say welcome and reminded us of 3pm check in as we were early!!! I was shocked as she was very loud and it was not what we expected. She did then allocate 1 room a I did not rise to her rudeness. Our confirmation stated 2pm.

location was good Too dark, and too claustrophobic for me since the room was dark and you were not able to open any of the windows. Shower proximity to toilet seat is not a good idea since water splashes everywhere.

The room was great. But design and great looking rooms is not everything, without efficient service you might as well forget it. I asked for synthetic pillows instead of feather as I am allergic to feathers. When I came back to my room there were still 3 feather pillows and one which was made up of two scatter cushion pads that would not fit in the pillowcase. Did they expect me not to notice? The breakfast service was really bad, I was brought a cold cup of strong tea and when I asked for a tea pot was told that they had run out. The tables around me were full of uncollected used breakfast things, which staff passed numerous times but did not clear. Very poor management. Bathroom design poor. The shower created a wave every time you moved. Drained too slow.

The size of the bath. Room for two and a few gin and tonics! Decor in the room was excellent. Orange juice at breakfast was to die for. Freindliness of staff at reception and waiting on staff. Reasonable price for B&B break. Bed far too hard, painfully hard. Prefer serve yourself breakfasts, rather than being bought to you. Reported (to reception) a leak from the bathshower fitting that appeared to go under the bath, but it didn't appear to have been fixed.

Nice hotel and ideally located for my participation in the Liverpool half marathon on 17 March. The hotel is not well signed for a car traveller arriving. You can see the hotel from the main road but the obvious thing to do is to drive via the Crown Plaza which apparently what everybody does but then the way is blocked off via that hotel so its not that easily navigable. Its always disappointing when breakfast is not included when you have spent £145 plus £10 for parking. While I accept this is common for hotels I don't believe this is especially good value for money in these austere times.

Just me and a friend stayed in this hotel for a night out in Liverpool. Some one followed us back to the hotel and pretended we had invited them to the room. The staff gave amazing protection by querying the visitor with our selves, followed by removing him from the hotel. This made us feel extremely safe! Thank you :) A discount on parking for staying at the hotel would have been appreciated. However you don't expect parking in city centre hotels
