Loved the friendly staff & welcoming atmosphere...location was fabulous and cozy, as well as, within walking distance to shops and public transportation...could feel the history behind it which made it more special!!...Felt a bit of the past with the present exciting!!

Would have liked a bureau to unpack my clothes and store in drawers...but that is all I can think of that was missing.

The room was well appointed, bed very comfortable and very clean. We were going to a wedding, so needed to check in early. This was sorted out very efficiently and we had our room five minutes after we arrived. Plenty of time to get ready for the event.

The darkness of the decor and lighting The tattiness of all of the furniture My sink in room 505 had an old crack in it.The furniture and carpets looked very worn. It all looked in need of refurbishment. I took a client there as well and was very dissapointed.

The location. We were attending a concert at the Barbican and it was only a 5 minute walk back to the hotel.

There was a sicky smell in the bedroom, behind the chaise lounge and underneath the window.

Really uncomfortable bed!

Good room and excellent meal in the restaurant. Also enjoyed our breakfast.

Room difficult to lower temperature - bit stuffy. Bathroom could have been cleaner. Sink had stains around outer edges of bowl (toothpaste) and cobwebs in corners.

Unfortunately rooms were not what we booked We booked a twin and a king size executive we requested no mini bar in the twin we got a double and a twin double had no mini bar twin did the exec room was a disabled room with a low sink bars and a half size shower at 6 5 and 5 11 each this was tricky ! We were disappointed! However the staff were very good they knocked money off the bill and gave us complimentary champagne Double check your reservations before arrival !

The location of our room was good... quiet as requested. Toiletried of good quality/ Good location.

Bed not very comfortable. Lack of a lounge area.Only one pair of slippers and one face flannel provided for two guests. Bottled water not replenished

Bit disppointment,as it was special celbration for my partners 40th birthday stayed in most of the malmasion's hotels no hot water on the sat when we was going to leave as ther had problems and I asked for cupcakes for my partners 40th birthday and didn't get in the room and also there was alot of wear and tear in the room that we had.

I liked the comfort and the service and the central location

the menu was quite limited. It is difficult for a sole traveller to go into the bar or restaurant and eat - it is intimidating in the evenings and the champagne bar is not what everyone wants upstairs - it would have been nice to be able to sit in the chairs with a glass of wine and read the paper - but somehow this didn't feel right. No gym facilities either.

The room wasn't ready when we arrived at 3.30pm. The room was not as described we booked a Superior King Room which should have had "a space to relax in" - it didn't. Our rate was subsequently reduced. We ordered a Sunday newspaper it didn't arrive. Staff were pleasant but ineffectual. The general appearance of the hotel is slightly scruffy, paintwork is scuffed the overall impression is that it needs a makeover, it just isn't maintained to the same standard as in previous years.

The hotel is well placed but is exceptionally comfortable - I particularly liked the generous sized and comfortable (firm) beds. It is very quiet for London ensuring a great night's sleep. Breakfast very good

It was also quiet which in London is a big bonus.

£30 for breakfast is a rip off! Room too warm despite the in efficient and restricted air con.....coridoors like a suana

Staff very friendly making eating in particular a pleasant experience.

The room allocated was particularly small with bearly enough room to get around the bed. Considering that the cost was over 450 pounds per night this represented poor value. The size of the room was something I would have expected from a budget hotel.

Tables packed too tightly in restaurant, which means that when busy congested, constant thoroughfare and noisy with staff preparing tables

Fantastic service Always made to feel welcome and nothing is to much trouble. Room was immaculate

I liked the quirkiness of the hotel which was consistent across all parts of the hotel.

Mycket trevligt hotell med bra läge nära tunnelbanan Barbican och med bra läge om man kommer från Stansted till Liverpool Street. Charmigt med en liten park utanför och pubar och restauranger alldeles I närheten. Mycket bra frukost och trevliga rum.
