Good location and interior design restaurant food average compared to high standards of hotel design. No film facility on room TV and no biscuits etc with tea/coffee facilities in room |

Stylish, funky hotel in very central Manchester location, with a very chic bar and restaurant. Staff very efficient and friendly and a very good restaurant. It is pricey enough |

The hotel lived up to my expectations having stayed previously at the Edinburgh hotel, no complaints at all the staff, food and drinks were all of a high standard, great breakfast cooked to order. |

Room was lovely - clean, with nice touches in the bathroom. Decoration was romantic with a bit of naughtiness The entrance and reception is just a bit too dark! Lighting up a bit so you don't fall up the stairs as I did! |

The extras provided, like the mini bar, lovely shampoo and conditioner, bottle of wine - nice touch even tho we didn't take advantage. Room service was prompt and reasonably priced. The areas downstairs - bar and reception, passage to the lift are all a bit too dark in my opinion |

The room was very good - big, clean, stylish, comfortable. And breakfast was good, with important touches like fresh orange juice and good coffee and croissants It was a busy weekend, with a big sporting occasion in town, but arriving about 3 on Saturday afternoon the service was close to being overwhelmed - room not ready, reception staff stressed and overworked, loos out of order, service almost unavailable in the bar, confusion about luggage, really a complete shambles. |

Quirky design hotel, good ambience, nice staff Too dark in places, particularly bedroom/bathroom, would have liked a mirror in natural daylight, plus would have liked to open bedroom window, decor a little tired in places. |

The pleasant attitudes of the staff, and the elegant foyer of the hotel made a nice change from other hotels I've stayed in, in Manchester. Can't fault the hotel. Everything was superb. |

The decor of the room, and the boudoir feel of the whole hotel. It is a bit pricey... |

convenient to the train station. The quality of the food was disappointing (risotto was slightly under-done and too salty, and they need more practice in their home-made icecream). i am a regular at the Malmaison London restaurant which is consistently excellent so i was surprised that the one in Manchester was not up to par. |

The decor of the rooms is nice but my room (501) was slightly too small for the size of the bed although it has a good sized shower room. The lifts are very slow and look a bit shabby and there is no parking so you can't stop outside and unload your luggage. |

Comfortable, stylish room. Excellent shower. All staff that I encountered were polite and helpful. 'Mood'lighting in the bedrooms/bathrooms not always quite enough eg for shaving/reading. |
