Room was clearly a disabled room and was right outside the lift. We didnt book or want a disabled room and it was difficult to use the sink in particular
Loved the bar and the food
This hotel is in a great location, close to the railway station and the city centre. The hotel bar is lively but also has a cosy feel about it.
The noise throughout the night from the high street was relentless. Duvet covers were torn. No full length mirror or dressing table, plug nearest a mirror was broken.
The room was small & smelt musty & our room backed onto the lift shaft which had become faulty that day & was making a right racket it sounded very much like the tardis, when I complained on checking out the gentleman that dealt with me was excellent his name was John Chadwick he was polite & professional, the bar & breakfast was also very good.
The staff on arrival, she was like she was just programmed to say the right things, I commented that the room was advertised as bed & breakfast but once booked (& not refundable) it came up as continental breakfast , I stated that this was false advertising but the person on reception didn't want to know, poor.
Other guests were very loud which resulted in a poor nights sleep, not great.
The atmosphere of the bar. The complimentary toiletries, the size/space of the room and the style.
The room was too dark, I found it difficult to check my make up prior to leaving the room. It's a bit shabby, due a refurb.
When you walk in it is dark and noisy, not ur traditional hotel reception. The mattress was really hard, the bathroom was very dusty. Water was leaking through the wardrobe, when member of staff came up to check was told would be given an upgrade only to never hear anything again. The room was small, the bathroom was tiny, couldn't shut the toilet door if sat on loo. The toilet seat wasn't even soft close, it banged shut, only saying this because to flush the toilet you have to put lid down. Overall for the price I would've expected slippers and dressing gown etc service. I will not be staying here again. Really not happy with my experience.
Very helpful staff and quick service. A great bar and modern, spacious, well equipped room.
The bathroom was nicely designed but this made it quite easy to spot where the cleaners had missed a spot.
On arrival staff were helpful and friendly.rooms were a good size and beds comfortable.bar and restaurant was clean and good atmosphere.
The room was good but we werent told about the building work which was going on outside our room, luckily it was weekend and no work going on.also wasnt impressed about the doors to outside being locked and also one door screwed shut which im sure is illegal, especially when 5 floors up and only one exit.although bar and restuarant nice its very expensive for a 3 star hotel.
The styling n look of the hotel is great. Location was good for what we needed.
The reception staff I had was very uninformative had to ask n check everything. Don't class cereal, Danish pastries n yoghurt a full continental breakfast personally. Was just disappointed n didn't live up to expectations.
Lively atmosphere in the bar and restaurant area Sumptuous modern room with a touch of decadence
Hotel style and decor Reception staff
Very poor service in cocktail bar as guests Overpriced generally
Location, breakfast and the fact that this hotel is at last being refurbished
Bedroom refurbishment is still in progress and there was no warning before booking! Foyer area, hopefully, will get the makeover too as it is now looking a bit tired and not that welcoming whilst waiting for guests.
Good location Friendly helpful staff
Shower too small, big bathroom small shower cubicle, designed poorly, and we upgraded. Colour scheme a bit dreary
Cool interiors translate to the accommodation where the bedrooms have lots of nice, luxurious little touches and are very well appointed and equipped. Great location, next tie I will check out the spa.
staff were very friendly, and bed was comfy but that was all the good points.
room was run down, cramped and over priced, Heating did not work, would not recommend this hotel to anyone! Paid a third of the price the night before and stayed in a premier inn that was a million miles better.
Bar and restaurant, staff.
Shabby bedroom, dirty worn hallway.
close to the railway station and only short walk to main shopping area. Excelent bar, good atmosphereNothing that I coul
Room was warm and comfortable.
Didn't think the hotel was particularly clean looking. I was booked into the executive room but it didn't feel any different from other rooms. I asked reception to book me a taxi which took around 15 minutes to arrive but they failed to let me know that there was a taxi rank outside anyway? I have stayed in a few Malmaison hotels and this one was very disappointing.
good atmosphere in the bar area. Bathroom was nice and products interesting
Staff service was poor at breakfast. Had at ask three times for beverages and toast. Seemed very short staffed and rushed. Bedroom very small
Very friendly and helpful staff, happy and up for a laugh. Very modern and quirky deco and facilities in our room. Loved the place and the people that worked there. Definately recommend :D
The bed the decor friendly staff!
We got woken up early by builders so when checking out we mentioned it to reception and got a half hearted apology when it would have been appreciated to knock some money off bar bill or discount the next stay as we stay here at least once a year
Thought the feel of the hotel was nice, the bar is lovely ti chill and have a drink.
Nothing major to complain about......there was no shampoo or conditioner in bathroom though so had to go out and buy some.....
Food and drink was a bit on the pricey side.
Style, buzz and feel of the hotel
The granola at breakfast is waaaaay too nice!
