The service in the bar was poor and the bar area was dirty
View of millennium bridge was excellent. Superb location for the city, 15 min walk to the centre. Lovely riverside walk.
Loved the dark opulence of the decor. The staff at the front desk and I. The bar were polite and chatty and very helpful.
Bathroom had a sour smell but not bad enough to complain.
Friendly staff ,good location we liked the iron & ironing board in the room and sort of tea and coffee facilities (kettle & tea bags) why not a dolce gusto machine??? They're so cheap?? Ok bed good snacks in room.bar open late
Horrible decor, shoddy, dark, depressing & dated purple and silver everything! Very poor room service list for 11pm! Vile expensive toasties.Taps hanging off walls in bathroom and the worst impractical downpour only shower.cheap chatty toiletries no valet parking
staff are great (Lindsay especially)
pillows too soft lighting too low for doing make up
The riverside location with spectacular views of the millennium bridge and the sage Gateshead are unrivalled. The room was exquitly furnished and breakfast very good.
Decor was a bit dark in the halls, a bit too much purple.
Management team were very apologetic and subsequently contacted us with an offer.
Room wasn't clean and had to be recleaned whilst we were there. Mini bar snacks had been eaten by previous guests. Hotel very tired, carpets worn, soft furnishings dirty, paintwork chipped
Staff and service
Breakfast Comfortable bed and good bedding
Lighting (lack of) in room. Side rooms have no view.
Friendly, helpful staff.
I haven't had the emailed receipt I was promised.
The whole building blocked out the noise from the quayside. The room was comfortable and the location was spot on.
The big long climb to get back to train station.
service was good usual ambience staff all very pleasant brilliant view at night everything was lit up
hotel decor looking a bit jaded compared to previous visits shower gel not renewed after the first night
Friendly helpful staff great views room 221
noise from the street early am
Great location. Nice tomm and friendly staff
Breakfast was ridiculously priced
Very modern with all you would expect from a 4 star hotel! Food and service was excellent. Room was very comfortable, with a bath! A great nights sleep.
Everything really really nice
staff are friendly and helpful
breakfast in room - poor value for money Noise from outside can be heard at night
Everything about the hotel was gorgeous, the view from the room was just incredible and the staff were absolutely lovely! Wish the stay was longer!
Amazing view from our room over the Millennium Bridge Lovely big room Luxurious dark decor Ability to contol room temperature
Room was a bit cold (16C) when we arrived (but were able to put heating on) Having to pay in advance for "incidentals" then have it refunded at the end, rather than just pay if we used anything
the whole experience staff were polite friendly felt like nothing was a trouble room was just as described comfortable and clean
humming sound in room but were nit picking
View of river tyne
Quality of omelette at breakfast
Lovely Hotel. Quirky, trendy and in the heart of the action.
Lovely location and beautiful room.
Once checked in, we were disturbed twice in the middle if the afternoon by house keeping trying to get in. In the middle of the night the smoke alarm in the room went off which disrupted our sleep for the rest of the night.
Food in restaurant was very good.
Service charge was added to bill before tip .
I loved the hotel and the location was amazing, best view of a hotel we have had so far.
very expensive as £2 for a 330ml can of coke was ridiculous, the bed was too hard was like sleeping on a door and the pillows was to soft, felt like I was suffocating when laid head sideways.
