Comfortable room Friendly and helpful staff There was a flag flapping incredibly loudly outside my room all night and I did not sleep until 5am. Then I did not get my alarm call and so overslept.

The facilities in the room were very good. The food was excellent. The position of the hotel gave the best views of the city. The half board deal we had was good value. The furniture and fittings look a little worn and need updating. The bar prices are high for a three star hotel. Watch for service charge being added to the final bill.

Very comfortable and clean room, friendly and helpful staff, parking available, great location on the Quayside. The lighting could be brighter in the rooms for women to apply their make-up.

Rooms were confortable and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good to have a spa and gym on site Room was cold and with being a regular sole traveller I struggled to order room service as the menu was a bit limited and did not feel the food I purchased was value for money.

Decor and location I arrived at 4pm and was told there were no rooms ready - I find this incredibly bad service. We were offered a different room but for an additional £20! After refusing to pay any extra, the receptionist finally found us a standard room.

My colleague was staying here for business on the 6th March 2013 and was really looking forward to experiencing a Malmaison hotel. He was disappointed by the lack of cleanliness in the room and the poor breakfast. I will not book this hotel for our business travellers again. Luckily the Malmaison in Leeds which was booked for the following night, proved to be satisfactory. Kind regards Eva Chapman

It is a fabulous location and a very plush hotel, staff very attentive and pleasant. It did seem to have lots of business people.The mood lighting is great around the hotel but in the rooms especially the bathroom it is very difficult to see, a small round bathroom mirror attached to the wall that pulls out with a light would be great, if people wear glasses it is hard to see without extra light especially to put make up on.

Location. Staff, all very friendly. Nice bar. The Hotel is run down in areas, carpets, fittings & furniture. The Hotel can only be described as dirty. Housekeeping department are not ontop of cleanliness in rooms and public areas. General lighting in the whole Hotel is poor and what may of seemed trendy in the mid 90's is anything but for 2013. Breakfast is served in a great setting but it was cold.
