Its my 4th of 5th time in Malmaison Oxford and everything is always at very high standards. Love approach, food, position.
Cold room, freezing bathroom and no hot water in sink. I did spoke with reception, but when I got back to room it was still cold. Very unpleasant to shower. Room was David... something, on 3rd floor.
Unique environment with converted prison cells as rooms
Parking was expensive
Historical architecture is like staying in art for me, and this hotel was fab. Very old, great features and it all looked stunning.
The bed was a bit too hard. I like a good firm bed, but this one was so hard, it felt like I was actually in prison (we were actually in the house of correction). Parking was a problem. We got very lucky and were able to park at the hotel, but this was after we had been told on the phone that none was available. We then spoke to someone else who said we could be accommodated, but it was an extra £20. We didn't mind much and were just thankful to be able to park at the hotel, but had I known before hand, we would have b
great location. nice rooms.
Breakfast not included in high price. A lot of 'add ons' to pay for if wanted. other hotels don't do this.
The hotel and how it has kept the authenticity of the prison set up, the great décor and piped music. The staff were all welcoming and most helpful a credit to Mal Group.
There was a constant drone all night in our bedroom which sounded like a bathroom extractor fan. We switched off all lights to try and sleep but it just continued. We stayed in room 330. This would put us off staying in this room again for sure
I loved everything about the hotel the main thing that stood out was the staff who were fantastic
There was nothing we didn't like
After staying in this hotel on several other occasions ,we noticed attention to detail is lacking. Staff not very attentive, rooms are little worn as are pillows and cushions. Breakfast not as good. Generally disappointing.
Great historical setting, very comfortable rooms. Breakfast was fantastic. Very friendly and nice staff. Oxford is a very nice city for a weekend break.
Hotel room was very clean, but the bathroom showed first signs of wear and tear.

slow checkout (queues)
The theme was great - an old prison conversion. Nice and warm. Very centrally located. Accommodating staff and pleasant communications, mostly.
All table space is taken up with products they want to sell you. Tea and coffee is in the 'closet'. There is no pool room as depicted on photo's. OUTRAGEOUS! The only 'social' space in the Hotel is given over to visiting Diners. Twin room single beds are pushed together and called 'Hollywood' style, but prove embarrassing when staying with a none intimate friend or family member.

Bar staff very nice (Perry).Had a very funny night.
Character of the building with all the original features, with the modern day comforts.
late check in time 15:00
The attitude and attentiveness of the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. the venue was so special and food was delicious. I travel a lot for my work and so hotels have to be special to impress me.
Having to come home!
Location is good, near train station and main tourist attractions
Bath shower problem bothers. When we checked in, the water pressure of this hotel seemed wrong. A little pricey with the service and facilities
Great hotel,great location,will be back.
The room and lobby area. The location of the hotel in relation to local attractions.
The extortionate cost of parking that is not clearly stated at the time of booking.
Everything about this place was beautiful. Very friendly staff and very informative. The building and surroundings were presented very well.
Luke warm shower, dark dark decor, rock hard bed, automatic restaurant service charge
We stayed in a cell room in the A block, right next door to the cell that had been maintained in its original condition. Fantastic quirky room with amazing features including balcony area that at night gave quite a sureal picture of the buildings original use. The visitors cocktail lounge was also great
Hotel has an easy going feel about the place , great location nice room.
Hotel lacks a proper reception desk needs more mature staff, some of the younger staff not great to have front of house breakfast team great. Didn't like to have booked breakfast thinking I had full English then told if paid for continental only had to pay a small supplement however felt a bit conned not very clear when booking.
The location, the old prison and the excellent breakfast with helpful and kind staff
Small rooms and difficulty in finding the entrance to park the car.
Amazing hotel, comfortable, great food and helpful staff
not much! A pool would've been good....
Interior design, staff and service superb, car parking not cheap but scarce in Oxford so understandable. Desk light not working, rectified in 20 min.
