Malone Lodge Hotel & Apartments  

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful trip at the Malone Lodge Hotel. This was largely due to the fact that we got a complimentary upgrade to a suite on arrival! The suite was so spacious and luxurious. The bathroom had a corner jacuzzi bath that we used every evening. The staff were also very helpful, giving us lots of tips on where to go and what to do. Even though the suite was across the road from the hotel, everything was very accessible. The leafy surroundings on the street were very pretty so it was always a nice quick stroll across to the bar/restaurant. Overall I very enjoyable trip for both of us.

There were only two minor things that I might change about the hotel. First the room was a little dark as the windows let in very little natural light and the room lights nearly always had to be on. Secondly the WIFI was quite expensive.

The room was lovely and clean, the staff were very good and the breakfast was very good.

The complaint we had was the remote control was not workiing, but we didnt mind that.

The location near the University was excellent and a short distance from the Metro Bus Line. The room was very comfortable, spacious and warm. Breakfast was brilliant with a choice of eight hot food options. Almost all of the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Car parking was an added bonus.

Aside from the rate, one of the main reasons for selecting this hotel was the 'fitness suite and sauna'. The Fitness suite was a disappointment. Located in the basement, the facility was unmanned and had no ventilation. Many of the items of equipment were broken or out of order and the water fountain was empty and there were no cups. The sauna was not operating. One of the reception staff was less than friendly or helpful with visitor queries and although she advised us she had no maps we were later given them by another staff member. The kitchen ran out of pancakes on the breakfast menu and were without them for 3 days!

Being upgraded to the L suite due to two wrong rooms, staff were excellent on sorting out the issue, L suite was beautiful.

room were far to warm, couldnt get to sleep had windows open the whole nite! l suite didnt have freeview wereas the cheaper rooms did.

Staff could not have been nicer, especially on reception. Lee Ann, on Sunday morning even came out to the snow covered car park to help guide me out. Bar food was great and reasonably priced. Free car parking - great.

Very friendly staff and a lovely hotel,great location

As a native of Belfast, I have visited the Malone Lodge over the years for bar food, restaurant food and organised functions. This was the first time that I was a resident. I was not let down. I now live in Scotland and decided to treat myself and my partner to a better hotel. We were delighted with the executive suite and the deal that we got. I was thrilled to be able to show off a 'home grown' hotel that is rivals any that we have stayed here or in any other big city. We will definitely stay there the next time we go back.

The only tiny thing that was not available in the room was somewhere to put your case while looking through them.

The accomodation in the appartments was of a very high standard. There was however a long wait for us to get our table in the restaurant for dinner that night.

Heat was very noisey, sounded like a train when it came on, aside from that it was an enjoyable stay, staff were excellent.

Just returned from a lovely city breal made even better by our stay at the Malone Lodg Hotel. We stayed in the executive romms which are across the road from the main hotel but that was not a problem. The room were large, nicely decorated,comfortable, and quiet. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Breakfasts were brilliant and my hus band was plesed that he did not have to make his own toast!! Would certaily recommend this hotel as it is also in a good location for the nearby bars and restaurants.
