Quiet, staff were friendly but not intrusive, very good breakfast.

I feel the interior decorations etc could do with refurbishment.

Good breakfast, location and very personable owner, but pity about state of hotel.

Needs updating and owner said so. No shower in bathroom. Very cold in the room despite extra warm air fan. General cleanliness very poor, even with cobwebs hanging in bathroom. Poor value for money at £88.00 per night.

The location

The hotel was in poor repair, dirty, and the staff were rude, and unfriendly. For the money it was completely unacceptable.We travel constantly, visiting Norfolk annually, we love the area, but were shocked at our experience at the maltings. We left a day earlier than planned, due to being locked out the previous night.

Friendly staff and excellent food. Close to Coasthopper bus service to reach all places along the coast. Easy walk to beach and coastal path.

Room was a bit damp

It's in quite a pretty village with little traffic. You can stroll down the road to a decent pub. The cooked breakfast was very good and included in the room rate.

The man who checked me in, said hardly a word to me and didn't look at me. Everything in the room is old and shabby and crying out for replacement, except the flat screen telly which is the smallest and cheapest that money could buy. There is no radio and no fridge. The bathroom fittings are old, the handbasin fitting is loose. The shower door didn't close properly. A lot of small things maybe, which unfortunately, added up to general disatisfaction. I paid one pound more for a pub room near the broads which was vastly superior in every way and I would have thought the broads area would have been more expensive than Weybourne. If I came to this area again I would not stay at the Maltings.

A little old-fashioned and tired but pleasantly comfortable and with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Attentive service and a very good restaurant. Well placed for getting about along the Norfolk coast, with Coasthopper buses passing the door.

The hotel could do with redecoration and general upgrading, but it is quite acceptable as it is.

We liked the breakfast and the room which we had and the walk in shower. We liked the vegetarian meals. We liked being a short walk from the beach from which the views were excellent. For visitors without a car there is a very good bus service which serves the whole of the Norfolk Coast.

We were quite satisfied with the hotel-it was very good.

Hotel is 'tired' and needs rejuvenating! Having said that, room clean and ok, breakfast excellent.

Quaint quirky hotel which suited us for the week-end - perfect location as we wanted to be near friends who were camping. Food was excellent. Rooms were tired but comfortable and met our needs for the week-end.

Bathroom could definately do with an update - but fully functional and huge bath with lots of hot water :)

On arrival was told my rate agreed on Bkg.com website only included continental breakfast but booking.com stated incl. Breakfast (without mention of continental only). The owners were very friendly but admitted although good potential the hotel needed a lot of investment, as becoming very drab and tatty. Because the two brothers that run it are in 60's and near retirement, decided not to invest but when retired sell on to younger person to invest and reap rewards, which it would bring if smartened up. Also only found out on arrival with sign on fron door that meals & drinks in bar were not being served that night as rest/bar closed due lack customers..........would definitely NOT stay here again.

We found the Maltings to be a unique place. It is a listed building with lots of character set in a quiet village within walking distance from the beach and very near the nn steam Railway. Our room was large and fulfilled my dream of sleeping in a four poster bed. We had everything we needed, en-suite, tea/coffee tray, etc.The food was very good and cooked to order. The staff very friendly and helpful. We chose the Maltings because of it's proximity to the nnr for a birthday trip, and found a delightful escape from the chaos of everyday life. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon.

We booked at the Maltings for a price of £70 per double room, inc. Breakfast. The bill came to £80 per room + extra for English breakfast - not mentioned in pre-publicity or on any of hotel stationary. The owners are charming and run the hotel to suit their own lifestyle, not necessarily for the convenience of their guests. We found this quirky and attractive and would stay again, if the quoted price is adhered to! Everything is slightly faded and tacky except the bed linen and towels, which are spotless. Loved the place.

It was a lovely place to stay with a large room and a huge 4-poster bed. Just down the hill from Sheringham Park and an hour's walk to Sheringham along the coast, there's something for everyone!

We were quite surprised to find that they locked up at 10pm, which following an evening meal out in Sheringham and a stagger along the coast was a little early! We were staying in May, not November when perhaps an early closure would be more appropriate!
