Staff very welcoming, great food, comfy and stylish rooms
Poor TV signal in room, TV in bathroom had no signal
Great pub fantastic staff... food to die for location perfect
The room was nice but serious issues my girlfriend could not have a bath due to plug issues in the bath and the sheets on the bed had blood on it which I took a photo of also supposed to have a nice quite evening but had to vacate my room due to an emergency plumber so one did not have a relaxing time at least they could of done is change of room or some kind of discount I complained when I paid but the young lad just wanted to ship me out of the door...
Staff very helpful
Cooked breakfast poor standard and cold!
The staff were really helpful and the hotel was really clean
Friendly, welcoming staff staff, spacious comfortable room with good facilities. Nice pub atmosphere with good food, local ales and decent wine list.
This is our 3rd year at the Malsters. My husband and I book for our annual Christmas shop without our children. Easy to get into Cardiff centre via bus stop outside bus runs every 10 mins. Lovely pub atmosphere and great restaurant. Rooms always clean and feel luxurious. Our little Christmas treat. Thanks Malsters
Arrived early morning, there was no problem in leaving car in carpark while we went shopping for the day. Staff welcoming and helpful. Called us a taxi into City Centre. Lovely meal in the evening. Breakfast was great, Full English freshly cooked. Would use this hotel again
Rooms were on the chilly side but there was a plug in heater which we turned on while we went to dinner. Room was fine when we returned.
Very good evening meal in the pub. Friendly and welcoming.
Wifi signal in room 2 was very intermittent.
Food is wonderful, location is great. Room really comfortable. Staff very friendly.
The continued pretence that there is workable heating - we moved rooms with no improvement. Also cleaner needs to be retrained - those areas that were cleaned were spotless but cobwebs above a shower & light fittings that hadn't been dusted (in both rooms) is not acceptable. Access to wifi during normal hours was non-existent.
Comfortable and spacious room, very good breakfasts. (didn't sample other meals). Friendly staff.
Fancy tv in bath didn't work. Aircon didn't control properly so had to have electric convection heater on low all the time. (mid winter). Bathroom cold, tiles need underfloor heating!
Nice Room Friendly Staff
Lack of heating in the room. It was cold.
Excellent breakfast; very charming neighbourhood, close to the beautiful Llandaff Cathedral.
Comfortable pub with refurbished rooms, good food and tasty breakfast especially the bacon! Very well situated in the centre of Llandaff.
We have recommended the Maltsters to our friends for the excellent food, spacious comfortable room and helpful and friendly staff. We would not hesitate to stay here again.
Very helpful staff with good food, good beer and very comforable rooms. I would stay again no problem
The rooms were cosy and excellently located for our purpose.
The bedroom was lovely, the bed huge and very comfy, the bathroom was superb in layout and design. The evening meal after a wait (due to the volume of people) was faultless, every item on the plate was enjoyed, one meal that others will be compared with for taste and quality. Breakfast was very well presented and the taste was lovely. could not fault.
Friendly staff. Excellent bedrooms. Very Clean. Brilliant. This is how it should be done. Fantastic atmosphere in the pub. Would definitely come again and recommend to any one
Having to move to another hotel because we booked too late and couldn't get 2 nights!! Nothing at all to complain about, brilliant
The room was stylish, comfortable and very clean. Lovely shower and good tea/coffee making facility. Staff were friendly but not overpowering as in some hotels and the veggie breakfast was amazing and filled a large plate.
TV in the bathroom was an interesting touch but it was unwatchable because it pixilated very badly most of the time or the screen just went blank. Not too impressed either by the 'double' bed being two singles put together, but each side was very comfy.
Excellent place to stay, the room was very clean and very comfortable. I loved the fact it's part of a wonderful bar and restaurant. The bath room facilities were more than superb. There is even a build-in TV at the end of the bath, never experienced that before and I can't wait to do that again. The only downfall is their was not build-in radiator but a electric portable, this didn't really both me as it throw out a lot of heat. We are planning to come back and take a visit into the city. WE WILL BE STAYING HERE AGAIN!
No build in radiator
The setting was great, the pub was friendly, the breakfast was really good, and the staff were accommodating.
Cold bedroom that we struggled to heat up with the air con/heating combo.
+ decor of room + the staff +the food +breakfast +free on site parking
+ a fair bit of noise from the main road
A very warm welcome, room attractive, shower room excellent, bath in bedroom, TV at foot of large comfy bed. Everything needed for relaxing mini break. Breakfast a feast of your choice. In my book of "Stay Agains".Bus stop close by, cheap and frequent, far easier than car.
As common with a lot of Hotels can you PLEASE! have one good light for the lady's make- up (and guy's shave,make- up optional!)) Light also needed in wardrobe-tea making area.
Much better than overpriced city centre hotels and just 10mins on bus.
