Only its location.
The place itself. On first view I thought it had been shut down.
Friendly, helpful and polite receptionist, offered his best. Good night rest in a comfortable bed. Good kitchen facilities. Thanks :)
Nice warm room, key to door so could come and go as needed
Breakfast wasn't included in the price. And wasn't offered as an extra
The Room was OK for the money, the young man who welcomed us was nice, and showed us the room first, as we was only staying one night it suited our need,
The sign outside on the wall for the name of the guest house was poor, we drove passed it in the dark, and it was raining, so not a nice night for walking up and down to see where it was, it should be more illuminated, and bigger, I couldn't get the shower on the right setting at first, but after few attempts I got there, water was warm, not hot,
Flexibility and helpfulness of the staff was first rate and unexpected. Our room was clean and served our purposes well. It was excellent value and will revisit next time we visit the area.
it was clean, comfortable, all the necessary facilities you would expect and the staff were very welcoming and friendly
one thing I found difficult was the height of the shower and mirror in the bathroom. As I am only 5'2" and do not like the water coming down on my head, I found it difficult to get hold of the shower due to the height likewise with the mirror for someone like me it was too high
Location is excellent for our meetings fom Barking to Southend. Very quiet part of town and close to the marine drive promenade. Very comfortable room we had.
Off street parking, but was in a hired car.... Wifi was intermittent and a little annoying when trying to do your work.
Pretty room Staff very helpful
Bed was very uncomfortable. Sheets and towels were very old and worn.
2 chairs in the bedroom Tea & coffee facilities
We departed at 9.30am and there was no staff available to receive the keys, neither was there a box to safely deposit them.
Parking is not available nearby
The manager was very welcoming and helpfull. Excellent coffee and refreshments.
The bed was a little squeaky.
window was damaged and would not close. No food on site or in the local area.
there was not a full English Breakfast but the continental was very nice
It is a bit basic but it does have everything you could want. It actually delivers better in some regards compared to bigger name chain hotels. For the cost of a night it is great value.
I was made very welcome after an 8 hour journey! Slept like a log in v comfy bed. Excellent facilities & value for money. Would definitely stay here again if Im back this way. Will definitely recommend the hotel & the lovely owner to all my friends & family Thank you very much for your friendly welcome & chat!
Couldnt get shower the right temperature. A tad hot. to be fair I should have mentioned this while I was there
the location as it is just a short walk to the sea front.
Our room was a twin en suite which in it self was ok, slightly tight on space. The stairs however were steep and came right up to the door of the room. If i had been travelling with a younger child or someone unsteady on their feet i would have been very concerned every time left the room.
It's cheap and the location is good - right next to a train station.
The room was not suitable for two people - it was just two beds squashed into an attic room. The room was not entirely clean, especially the bathroom, and the onsite parking was not what I expected either - we were told to park on the road at first and had to drive around looking for a space.
Staff was friendly and very helpful booked single room but was given a double own shower tellie plenty of coffee
The bed was very squeaky and uncomfortable the door creaked right through the night very strange as was a solid door the property could do with updating and a bit cleaner
VIKRAM LOOKED AFTER US VERY WELL, WE ALSO HAD A GOOD ENGLISH BREAKFAST EACH MORNING WELL WORTH PAYING THE EXTRA. WELL SHALL STAY AGAIN
Location. Very pleasant welcome. Parking.
No soap. No tissues. No Shampoo. No cold control on shower. Very noisy, Could hear other guests.
guest house staff friendly and waited up as I was late checking in. Rooms where basic but functional and the room and shower was clean if a little bit dated. There was a small kitchen which was communal and contained microwave etc for guests.
Outside the room the rest of the house was not the cleanest and more scruffy than the actual room I stayed in. As I was only using this place to sleep whilst on a weekend business meeting it was ok and a last minute booking so not much choice in this area.
The quite of where this was situated
The cleanliness of the shower
Very friendly, welcoming staff. Well appointed, nicely decorated room with no noise from outside despite the fact that it was overlooking the street. Also very short walk from the station.
Shower was a little on the small side, but still quite manageable.
The member of staff who greeted us was polite and friendly.
The shower didn't work safely - either boiling hot water or cold water. The hand basin was so small you could not wash in it properly. The carpets were dirty and stained. The room smelt damp. The room was too small to have a second bed in it. The website picture were very misleading. We were under the impression from the website that breakfast was included but we had to pay extra for it. The facilities were not worth the money. There was no choice of cooked breakfast, just toast and scrambled eggs. The owner should not be charging so much money for the accommodation.
the location was excellent for the sea front and the distance to relatives we were visiting. The whole house needs lots of TLC
The whole house is so dusty. everywhere needed a vacuum cleaner and definitely the en suite wanted a good scrub. oh and the shower whether electric or not failed to work only once.
