Dinner in the bar was fine, (but not special enough to repeat on the second evening, so we opted to find a restaurant in Helensburgh). Location quiet and surroundings pleasant. Room was clean, warm, quiet, and well equipped, though not spacious. Staff very friendly and attentive. Car parking right outside and free of charge. Views across loch to Rosneath pleasant. Rhu is a quiet and pretty village just outside Helensburgh; hotel on a spit of land on the edge of the loch, but no direct views from hotel.

Spotless clean room, friendly host, great location on shore of Loch Goil but since we only stayed one night we didn’t have enough time to appreciate the beautiful deck and view!

Needs more info on parking facilities for guests. We managed to park across the road from the pub but weren't sure if we could park outside the rooms or not. Breakfast was disappointing in the pub. Wished we had had more time to check out the area but our ferry was delayed so we arrived late. I enjoyed the road from Tarbet to Garelochhead and our stay at the Anchor Inn. The spot may not be the nicest but our evening/night was really nice staying at the Anchor Inn after a good walk in the Highlands.

Garelochhead is not a place you would think of as being suitable for tourism, but it is nice and quiet despite there being a naval base close by. It is ideally located for exploring the wonderful Scottish countryside.

Amazing scenery with a beautiful loch with boat's on it to the view of the mountains including the cobbler insures lovely photo opportunities all around you in very relaxing surrounding's. Friendly local people & shop's within walking distance including Chinese takeaway with tasty food.
