Unlike many airport hotels, Etrop Grange is a historically listed mansion house. There is free Wi-Fi throughout and a fine-dining restaurant with an AA Rosette.
Score from 493 reviews Very good
Gorgeous hotel, very clean. Staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help you. Rooms are spotless and comfortable.
The pool is a small and there are only 4 loungers, we wanted to read by the pool but no where to do it.
Pool and general facilities
A little expensive
Spa Breakfast Comfortable bed
Expensive WiFi Square pillows £8.00 parking I regularly stay in hotels across Europe, Asia and USA but the WiFi access in this hotel is by far the most expensive that I have come across. (£7/hour, £15/day or £75/month access options) In fact, it is less expensive in-flight on KLM aircraft!
Next to the airport Great food at San carlo restaurant Staff were great !
The hotel and the room are in need of a full refurbishment. The room was dusty and there was no minibar and hairdryer ! I asked for some slippers, they never arrived. No hotel shuttle at 6.20 am to the airport !!!! Incredible ! For that rate I have stayed in nicer airport hotels. Never again
The room was very nice.
Too many questions asked when I checked in. The room was very far from the entrance.
Nice room, pleasant staff.
No airport shuttle. The place was a maze. I was given a map and still got lost. We had luggage for a trip to America and there was no easy route! Kind staff got a hotel mini-bus to get to reception when we left.
The location was good for the airport. Food was ok
I contacted the hotel on two occiasions prior to the date of the visit as I was staying there to fly to Dubai for a week. I checked with the reception about parking to be told that there was parking which didn't need to be booked and was £8.00 per night and a shuttle service to the hotel. Upon arrival late evening I asked how do I go about paying for the parking to be told I could only park over night for £8.00 and could not leave my car there. What!!!! I had no alternative parking arranged and got no help from the hotel staff who seemed disinterested in my plight of no parking for a car. I told them that I had rung previously and asked me who I rung, time and date, which i did'nt have to hand. When I asked for the duty manager I was given an email address to send my complaint to. Really helpful to me at that time. So my holiday was ruined by having to spend the rest of what was to be a relaxing evening getting parking sorted out for my car. I will never use this hotel or its chain again. If you contact the follow it up with an email and get a reply.
Staff were very friendly especially lady in reception with long blond hair she sounds polish
No children's play area like in the Bewleys. This would make aasdive difference to us frantic mum & dads trying to relax whilst keeping the toddler occupied
closeness to Manchester airport
quite expensive for one night
Great pool, sauna and steam room. Comfy beds. Large room.
Lack of snacks/ food in executive lounge at the weekend.
Executive Lounge facilities on a weekend
Everything, from the moment we checked in at 1,45pm we were made to feel welcome and every member of staff we encountered were excellent. The hotel manager has a real premier league of staff at this hotel.
Nothing everything was great.
Room was quiet, clean and well appointed. Pool area really nice. Service in restaurant and in Executive Lounge good.
Prices in bar - bit on the expensive side - £23 for 2 glasses of OK wine and half pint of beer.
The hotel was close to airport, food was nice. Rooms were nice and big.
Because we booked through booking.com I wasn't aware that the Marriott airport hotel did fly and park packages, when I've stayed at Marriott hotels before I've always paid for parking direct to hotel for number of days we've needed to leave our car..they said I could leave our car for 8 days, but couldn't have the fly and park package..I was charged £112.00 parking £81.00 for room.
clean friendly big room breakfast fantastic but a bit expensive great pool but didn't go in
drinks a bit expensive but only to be expected in a place like this
On line price and hotle price were total different .
Lack of help over price and parking and transfears from hotle staff .
I was unable to park my car there but on the. Web page it said booking was not required
Good price thru booking.com Friendly and helpful reception staff Comfortable bed
Restaurant very slow to take orders and it wasn't busy
As noted above
The service and food were excellent, likewise the room!
Spacious rooms, beautiful pool staff were really friendly and tolerant of two very excited 6 year olds
That you'd to pay for wifi in your room but it was free in public areas
value for money is too exaggerated for a night.
Executive lounge for breakfast as no queue and the lady staff member was lovely.
My room wasn't ready despite my arrival being over two hours after my room should have been available. The table, skirting boards and plug holes hadn't been cleaned for sometime. My coffee, tea, chocs hadn't been replenished after the last guest and i was disturbed at 9pm so the staff member could do that (so they had known) i didnt appreciate the intrusion as i was in my night clothes. There is nothing in the room to advise guests of the different restaurants available to eat at in the hotel so i had to go and find out for myself.
Lovely rooms, great pool area and gym. Staff friendly and welcoming.
the swimming pool and the room
The shower did not work
