Score from 993 reviews Good
Location good, and price reasonable.
Website and confirmation said transfers to airport terminals were £8 return, but I was charged £10 each way. At least mine was on time. A group booked on 6am transfer were still waiting at 6:30.
providing taxi to the airport, even early in the morning
actually a bit far from the airport
I liked everything about the hotel all the staff where really friendly and welcoming and really helpful
Small room. Not cleaned. Old fittings, chipped in poor condition.building works taking place. Like walking into a building site and no mention anywhere or would have gone elsewhere. Only there for 1 night flying out next day. Never again
No lift. Bad service. No airport shuttle.
Hot Shower Good food
Bathroom dirty Staff didn't pay attention resulting in code key for wrong room Pricy food that came out cold
Very friendly staff, room very clean and tidy.
Old school decor
Comfortable and clean hotel. Staff friendly and made the stay pleasant.
I booked it because there was meant2b a shuttle bus to&from the airport which there wasn't which meant I spent an extra£30which took me over£100.I could hav stayed at one of the hotels at the airport for that.
close to the airport
wires trailing across the floor, a tray with cups and plates on floor outside my room when i arrived at 8pm and was still there when i left the next day
when traveling, i don't like to go out to get dinner, having a bar and restaurant is a BIG plus for me.
the food, bar was good.LOL food, O that was something out of a box. i will stay there again, bar is good, and i will just have apps.
Thought the food was poor.
Poor service at restaurant for breakfast had to wait ages for something to get
Quite close to the airport
1. Hotel is being renovated site with strong paint smell 2. Some of the hotel staff are very new and do not know how to operate the computer etc. For example: my credit card was charged twice by mistake because the person who checked me in took a payment from my card rather than placing a block on the card. This added a lot of delay to the checkout. 3. Be VERY careful if you take a car with you. The car park is managed by a separate company and will fine you £100 per day. The booking confirmation stated parking was included with the room, and I gave my car registration number at check in. However it is the guests responsibility to enter their registration number each day into a self service terminal at the end of the reception desk. I noticed this while waiting to checkout. The staff said there was nothing they could do until the fine arrives. When it does I will have to get the hotel to refund it. They assured me that this happens frequently and it will not be a problem, however it is extra stress I do not need!
bed comfortable, staff friendly, free wifi, efficient airport transfer
Very tired buildings. Room over looking kitchen, fan noise all night, smell of abcon. Middle of nowhere, no food options besides bar which is ok food-wise, but a bit cold. Not obvious that you had to pay extra to use the swimming pool.
No possibilty to change foreign currency. Staff not helpful.
The fact we had been going to this hotel for years and sometimes twice a year now we go to East Midlands if we can as we have always liked this hotel and its location
The fact that the hotel was haveing a lot of work done and while we had to paddle in carpets that were sodden in water they then put a sign out after we had enformed them it as gone down since holiday inn had it
Beds were comfortable
Breakfast very poor. Service non-existent Hotel struggled to cope with number of people. Hot drinks machine did not work.
Offered alternative accommodation has they didn't have water. We stayed and it soon came on.
When first arriving the room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The location is also good being so close to the airport and Wilmslow.
When we woke in the morning the room had no running water at all. We could take a shower, clean or teeth or even flush the toilet. The room was total inhabitable for anyone to use. We were offered no apology when checking out, I have since emailed a complaint twice but have received no reply, I have also called the hotel and left my phone number asking someone to call me back and as yet I have still heard nothing back. Also be careful of the parking as 2 weeks after our stay we received a parking fine. The hotel failed to make us aware that the car park was managed and that we had to enter our registration to avoid this. Again I am still waiting for the hotel to call me back regarding this .
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
By road the distance from the airport is much further than 2.5km as indicated on the details of the hotel. Also the airport shuttle is a taxi service which requires payment.
Staff were friendly and hospitable
The venue is in need of and in the process of significant modernisation
