Holiday Inn Manchester Airport  

nothing at all. worst hotel i have ever stayed in

rude staff, no knowledge of times of taxis or buses. claims to be an airport hotel yet its over 2 miles away. not a free shuttle, when "shuttle" arrived was just a taxi that we shared with two other people. this was actually more expensive, as a taxi was £8 but the shuttle was £5 per person. we turned up on new years so no shuttle was running, and all the facilities were closed even though there was no notice saying this anywhere. our room was dirty and had been made up for 4 people even though there was only 2 of us making it cramped. also sick on the floor that hadnt been cleaned up properly.

The bed was comfortable

I booked for a price that included parking and shuttle and was told on arrival it was for room only and had to pay more. The carpet was dirty and the curtain, the tv couldn´t be heard or turned up or had sub titles. There was no lift operational so I had to walk up 41 stairs ( I am a pensioner with heart problems) and then 76 yards to my room. I was so exhausted I had no energy to enjoy the spa etc. if it was actually thhere. The cost of even a sandwich was astronomical and a drink out of the question. The tea/coffee facility in the room had milk for one cup only. I will never stay there again and am sorry I spent so much of my holiday money which had been hard to save, on one night of stress when I had chosen to go there to avoid the stress of an early morning journey. Never again.

The hotel's convenience for Manchester Airport and the ease with which we were able to reach it. We always enjoy our stay at this hotel and as it was the start of our holidays it was even more enjoyable.

We did find that the room we were allocated on this occasion was rather small and although we had requested a twin bedded room we were actually given a double bed room. We also found the airport transfers this time were a little haphazard more so on the retrun journey when although we requested transport in the luggage hall (as requested) we still had to wait over 20 minutes outside for our transport to arrive, although there was a Holiday Inn bus sitting in the bay. The driver of this bus told us he hadn't been asked to collect us and we would therefore have to wait - figure that one out!!

It was comfortable and served our somewhat limited purpose at a bargain price.

We felt welcome and immediately to relax for our overnight stay prior to going on holiday the next day. Quick and easy check in. Reception staff were very helpful if providing us value for money advice on how to get to airport at reasonable price for family of 4.

Good value for an overnight stay and parking at manchester airport. Conviently located for the airport.

Too much noise while being inside the bathroom.

I thought £50 for a Saturday night was a fair price to pay, and the price is what made us choose the hotel over others in the area. The room was nicely furnished and clean.

The housekeeper wanted to clean our room half an hour before we were due to check out which was a bit annoying since we had paid for the room until 11am. The reception desk seemed to be very busy all the time, during check in, when we wanted to book a taxi later on, and the following morning at check out there were long queues. The bathroom, although clean, was very small.
