Clean & comfortable bedroom

Pool area and spa a bit tired

It was clean. Service was good and Staff were accommodating.

The location was in the middle of nowhere with no easy public transport, and no airport shuttle. We had to pay a cab fare to get to dinner.

Staff was helpful. Also I enjoyed the restaurant and the bar.

Breakfast variety & quantity. Coffee was bad.

Staff very friendly and accommodating. Room size was good. Bath and shower in room. Plenty of on site parking. Easy check-in and check out process.

No dislikes perfect for our needs

Disappointed that Holiday Inn 'Manchester Airport' was not located within a 15 min walk from terminal or offered a free shuttle bus. Attempts to ring the hotel for directions only offered voice recordings. Hefty taxi bills were the result. Disappointed that the instruction on check- in to lift my 20kg suitcase up a 'few' steps to the 3rd floor was a stairs with 15 steps. Disappointed that the twin/double room I booked was dark and tiny, it did not have a full sized double bed or twin beds. Disappointed that the lights over the bed and desk did not work, equally disappointed that when I requested the lights be repaired or a desk lamp made available for work purposes for the following evening that neither occurred.

The pool. Location is good

The room was too hot and I was told there was no A/c by the Receptionist but after 2 nights with no sleep the housekeeper told me there was a/c after all. The spa facilities are very tired and not clean. The breakfast was awful.

Good bed, shower and room and distance to good pubs in Wimslow, for sure great staff!!

High rates for internet, very high prices for drinks at the bar. Taxi ride from airport gbp 18, because ist outside of the "airport" perimeter. They charge everything, weighing luggage etctera. They have a contract with Swisscom internet services, they are bad!!

Personnel were helpful and polite.

The shower controls were hard to figure out. It was necessary to have housekeeping come up to instruct us and then after one use it wouldn't work. The lights above the bed didn't work. Aren't all aspects of the room checked before offering it to the next person? Also the elevator was quite small to accommodate even 2 people with 3 pieces of luggage.

This hotel is wrongly described as an airport hotel but the shuttle service was very poor. You have to pre-book even if you don't know your time of arrival and I was told I would have to wait for 45 minutes. Instead I took a taxi which cost £25.00 - this demonstrates that it is not close to the airport. I arrived late at night and the windows were wide open and the room was freezing though one of the staff did get me a heater. All in all it was a very bad experience.

Booking was readily accessed and recorded accurately. Staff friendly and business-like. Room very clean and warm. Bar and restaurant open Professional

Leisure centre

Cost to get there from airport - as an "airport" hotel taxi/shuttle bus costs are outrageous. Rooms need an overhaul. Noisy at all hours due to people checking out early for flights (could/should ascertain peoples check out times and group the early (5am leavers) on the same floor).

Wedding pary's are good during the day, but night disco's aren't. People carried the party on into one of the rooms and kept us awake most of the night. The desk did'nt seem to care about it because they got the money up front for the booking

Close to the Airport

Our room prepaid and reserved was not available. We had to wait for new arrangaments. The new room (family) had a sofabed very uncomfortable. I had to put a pillow under my back. There was only springs left in it. Additionally there was a wedding party with a loud noise going on near by, we could't sleep. If this is Airport Hotel were people catch their plains and need a good sleep for the next day of travel it shouldn't have weddings in the same section of the hotel.

Location was good for airport

There was a very poor telephone signal throughout the hotel. Wifi was not available unless paid for. £5 for 1 hour or £10 for 24 hours - very expensive and when I logged on with the username and password, the site told me it was available for £7 for 24 hours!! Unable to have my debit card swiped behind reception as it would take up to 5 days for the deposit to be repaid to my account? Appalling.

The location and friendly staff.

Very little, it was an overnight stay before going to Manchester airport. The room could have done with a good clean, there were long black hairs all over the room, bits on the bathroom floor that looked like bits of toilet tissue and the one hand towel provided was disgustingly dirty and stained pink. If this had been left as a clean towel for new occupants then someone isn't doing their job properly. We asked for two clean hand towels and got them. Thankfully it was only a fleeting visit. Nothing to recommend it really.

We stayed at the hotel because it is near to Tatton Park, and we were attending the RHS Tatton Park Flower Show so it was very convenient. The hotel was fine - the room was comfortable for a two night stay and the swimming pool was most enjoyable. Breakfast was excellent, but should have been included in the original invoice not as an extra to be paid for on arrival.

Parking was sometimes difficult at the front of the hotel - especially in the evening.

No elevator , wifi should be free ....

Stopped for friends wedding. Food very good and accomadation fine if not a little on the small size.

Friends Dad having to sign a disclaimer for being in a wheelchair. Never come across this before. Not very wheelchair friendly.
