The front of house were extremely helpful and personable and made me feel welcom. Efficient and effective, I was treated as a guset and they were my hosts. I liked the choice of menu which was different to the usual run of the mill offering. The room was spacious and clean. The only let down at the hotel was the service at the bar. Despite there being two staff at the bar, I waited for over 5 minutes to get served. There was only one other customer at the bar who was being served by one of the bar staff. The other was doing some cleaning and although she saw me approach and wait at the bar, she continued to carry on with the cleaning rather than serve me. I was not impressed by this and somewhat diluted the excellent service provided by the front of house team.

It Location was central, so we could get to the places nearby I was dissapointed, as there was alot of noise and couldnt get to sleep, also the heating didnt come on straight away, i had to wait 45 mins before it started to warm up abit.

Very clean and the rooms were lovely and warm with air conditioning that actually worked, staff were really friendly and it really suited our stay, we were here for men event so just needed a no fuss stopover

We were welcomed by genuinely friendly staff and all the staff throughout were helpful and pleasant. The room was clean, well equipped & it was quiet. We didn't try the hotel restaurant but the bar was stylish and comfortable. There was ample parking at a small cost ( we traveled by train so didn't use this but may in the future) We stayed for a concert in town which it states it is convenient for. However, having gone by train we were on foot and found it difficult to find ( with the walking directions we copied off a popular search web site) and it felt like a bit of a hike. Obviously it would be relatively inexpensive to taxi but not everyone wants that additional expense. Once we got our bearings it took about 15 - 20 minutes to get into the shopping district. The only thing otherwise was we felt the breakfast was expensive so chose not to have it and went elsewhere. We didn't get the room we booked (although chose not to make a fuss because we were happy with the room given) We did let the staff know & put it on the review for the hotel.

Helpful staff. Convenient location.( Left a cardigan in the wardrobe. Rang hotel when arrived home. They posted it back to me very quickly). Bathroom did not smell very fresh and there was a noise from the air con outside the bedroom window.

The breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was lovely. My only downside is we wasn't informed when booking in that there was a private function on which meant we couldn't dine or use the bar at the hotel in the evening. We wasn't made aware when booking in that there was a private function that night which meant we could dine in the hotel resturant or use the bar. Which I was a bit disapointed as that's what we had planned to do as the food looked very nice. And the dinning area looked very relaxing.

“The hotel is in a really good location as we were up to visit the university, right in the heart of it all but tucked away. The price is just great and the room was large and airy. bathroom was a good size with a new shower area. The room has begun to be decorated and when complete is will look more modern. The breakfast was a surprise as it said continental and I expected a cold meal (for the price not much either) and we got an egg with toast!
