Breakfast and breakfast room. Handy for visiting Stonehenge and Salisbury. Good pub dinners not far away. Host happy to recommend good restaurant.
Our bed - uncomfortable! Travelled with another couple - their bathroom had a bath (aussies take showers, not baths!) and the hand-held shower reached just over knee-high! Really difficult for someone who is 6ft 2ins. tall.
Great Breakfast with good choice of items. Lovely location with plenty of sightseeing options nearby, Host very helpful with getting luggage up and down stairs. They changed my room for the second night as I have mobility problems and couldn't use the shower as it was over a large bath. Good restaurants nearby for evening meals.
Welcomed by the owners to their lovely guest house. Would highly recommend this place as a travellers rest when visiting Stonehenge!
The hotel is a great location for Stonehenge, lovely little town 2 miles from Stonehenge. Had a lovely break
helpful hosts nice setting and pleasant 20 min walk in for dinner
other guests noisy in carpark at night near our window small room
The wi-fi actually worked, unlike that in many other hotels where the service is limited. The owner is very friendly and accommodating, and the hotel is spotlessly clean and extremely well maintained.
Nothing at all.
nice and clean and good location.
owners going in to room when we were not there to turn out lights pull curtains and bring in clean cups all very nice but not welcomed by us. I think the idea of giving a key is for privacy
Garden view room was excellent - comfortable, good size, well appointed. Nick was an excellent host, as was his wife Angie. Being trained chefs, their breakfast was first class...nothing was too much trouble. Nick was helpful with suggestions on local places to dine. Ample parking on site. Only a couple of minutes drive from the centre of Amesbury. For dining, we found The Bell in Salisbury Street Amesbury and the Wheatsheaf in nearby Woodford (12 - 15 minutes by car) to be best.
Nothing that we disliked.
Excellent place, clean, friendly, quiet.. Had 3 yr old and a baby and they were both v welcome. Planning a 3rd stay next year with family and friends.
Bit dissapointed with new visitors centre for Stonehenge.. But nothing bad re Mandalay!
Host Breakfast Garden
trip is too tight, can't spend more time in Mandalay...
The place was really nice Comfortable room and bed One of the owners was really nice
The shower was not working properly, which was not really a problem as we were only staying one night, so we did not even complain and managed to shower. When paying I mentioned the problem to not so nice owner that not only questioned that we had an actual problem but didn't even apologise and was proper rude... So that is why this evaluation is not good.... perhaps you will be more lucky!!
Lovely owner, excellent location, outstanding breakfast!
A shower cap in the bathroom would have been really nice.
I liked the rooms and the breakfast the next morning was great!
that there was no plugin by a mirror for the hair dryer
The hotel was lovely the owners were wonderful and couldn't do enough to help the hotel was spotless I can't recommend this hotel highly enough and we will be booking again. The owners are both ex chefs so the breakfast was one of the best we have had. The shops were within walking distance as was the pub.
The owners were friendly and helpful. A very clean, comfortable room and the breakfast was really good. A lovely rear garden for sitting out in, if the weather is good. Would definitely stay again when in the area.
The pillows weren't particularly comfortable.
Well-appointed rooms Clean Beautiful gardens Host/hostess very accommodating Washcloths!!
Bed hard-not comfortable for me, resulting in a poor nights sleep No place for refrigerated items/ice for cold drinks

Nick was a great host. Wonderful breakfast, in a beautiful breakfast room, overlooking a beautiful garden. He even had vegetarian sausage for us for breakfast. Within walking distance to the town, which has nice little pubs and cafes.
It was a little hard to find as our GS didn't recognize the address.
Very convenient to the Stonehenge, staff are friendly. Room is clean and quiet.
Location, quiet, breakfast.
I would be picky to criticise anything.
Very handy for Stonehenge. Nice comfortable place.
No shower in bathroom.
Breakfast was good. Room good size. Closeness to Stonehenge.
Bathroom quite small. Limited facilities in Amesbury and Salisbury a much nicer town.
