Staff were extremely helpful, willing to do anything to make sure you had everything you needed. Really glamorous first impression on arrival in terms of the actual hotel itself, room very clean. Attention to detail e.g. toiletries, free wifi, coffee machine in room was a lovely idea! Location excellent 5-10 minute walk to all of the shops, selfridges very near by!
Wish there had been a swimming pool and sauna, although if on a city break or out and about most of the stay this isn't really necessary!
Comfortable Hotel in a great location. Staff really helpful.
Location and staff
Room was really small, without fridge (if you get thirsty in the middle of the night, we will be in trouble).
I love love this hotel!! I highly recommend it. It has a central location in London. I was able to walk everywhere. I love that my room was big and so beautiful.
The lobby need an update and the bed need to be more soft. I'll stay here again if I go to London.
We stayed in the room with terrace and what a fantastic room. Myself and the bridesmaids got ready here and it was perfect. Huge room over 2 levels, staff were excellent letting me check in at 8am! And the location was fantastic.
The other room were a bit small.
Location, personnel, clean and quiet room, coffee making facilities
The rooms are rather small
the view from our room was overlooking the back of buildings and the front was encased in scaffolding
Ian the concierge was so helpful. This hotel is well located close to many shops and places to eat. We really enjoyed our stay.
Great location and easy to get to. Nice decor Great power shower Quiet room
Almost staff served kindly but one was worst and unkind in check out. recommend looking for another staying.
Staff were very helpful
Location is good. A few minutes away from Oxford street.
Horrible rooms. Two adults + two suitcases and we literally could not move around. Bathroom so tiny it would send anyone into a full on panic attack. Bed hard and uncomfortable. Even the elevator was so small that we got to know other guests a little too well for my liking. We also had to ask them to fix the shower and re-clean the room as the sheets on the bed were stained. There are loads of cheaper and nicer hotels in Central London. Stay there instead.
Staff, manager, cleanliness hotel
The fact there are two types of deluxe room , 1 has a shower over bath the other a walk in shower. I booked the up grade under the illusion that the deluxe rooms have all got a walk in shower
Was a great location for the Embassy and for shopping! I would stay at this hotel again even with the few negatives I've detailed.
I didn't like the Nespresso machine. If you didn't want a Nespresso you couldn't have anything to drink without having to pay for it. I prefer to have a kettle and tea/coffee making options. I don't like glass doors on a bathroom - I just don't understand why places do that!
- Near to Piccadilly train Station. - Availability of connected rooms for families with children’s.
- Rooms are small.
Location Quiet room good for sleeping
This hotel always feels like 'coming home'. A lovely welcome, professional and attentive staff and very clean! Great beds! The addition of the coffee machine is most welcome too!
The lighting in my room was not adequate enough to see properly on a night - really needs addressing. 'I would have loved small treat to go with the lovely coffee'.....
Receptionist asking for tips during check out - inappropriate for a 4 star hotel. Bedroom door banged every time another room opened their door. Coffee machine did not work properly. Bed linen not changed during a 3 night stay (poor for a 4 star hotel).
The hotel restaurant was amazing, serving great food at a great price and the service was spot on. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and quiet. A great hotel, which we will definately be visiting again!!
The staff were really good. Excellent bar staff , especially paul. Thanks.
I chose the hotel for its location and booked a single room for 2 nights while I was in London on business. I had requested a quiet room and my room was on the 5th floor with a window overlooking a very quiet street and beyond (not an interior well or the bins as so often happens with single rooms). There are only 9 rooms on this floor and mine was very quiet, comfortable and clean. I slept extremely well in the large (1.2m?) single bed. Staff all very helpful and friendly. Room service breakfast delivered exactly on time both mornings. Hotel has a more personal feel than larger London hotels and I will happily stay again.
Room service continental breakfast overpriced as usual with London hotels. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Instead you need to order hot drinks on room service and pay the prices. A booklet in the room says that rooms have coffee machines but mine didn't so I assume this does not apply if you are in a single room! Shower leaked due to a poorly designed shower screen.
We stayed here on our wedding night and it was lovely, staff were great!
Loved the location and friendly staff
Didint like being misinformed. I had called them a few days earlier to ask them if I could leave some luggage with them for a night as I would be checking in the next day. They siad yes. When I called them on the day to let them know I am coming they refused saying that i was given wrong information the other day. This really inconvinienced me as I as pressed for time and had to leave my bags at the left luggage section at the train station which cost me an additional 60 pounds which is a lot of money for me. Really didnt expect this to happen from a hotel like Mandeville. Was really upset with the incident.
