I chose the hotel for its location and booked a single room for 2 nights while I was in London on business. I had requested a quiet room and my room was on the 5th floor with a window overlooking a very quiet street and beyond (not an interior well or the bins as so often happens with single rooms). There are only 9 rooms on this floor and mine was very quiet, comfortable and clean. I slept extremely well in the large (1.2m?) single bed. Staff all very helpful and friendly. Room service breakfast delivered exactly on time both mornings. Hotel has a more personal feel than larger London hotels and I will happily stay again.

Room service continental breakfast overpriced as usual with London hotels. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Instead you need to order hot drinks on room service and pay the prices. A booklet in the room says that rooms have coffee machines but mine didn't so I assume this does not apply if you are in a single room! Shower leaked due to a poorly designed shower screen.

The location and friendliness of the staff.

We would prefer a kettle in our room instead of the coffee machine but on the other hand room service was efficient.

The location is excellent and the staff were very helpful

I booked a superior double which even by London standards was tiny. I would have classed the room as a single. The photos on their website are very misleading.

    location, tidiness, friendly service

    - greeting bottle of wine is paid although it seemed free - especially in deluxe room - there is no unpaid bottle of water in room, - to expensive assistance services - taxi to Euston Railway Station for 35 GBP

i asked for a late check out when i made the booking. it was not acknowledged. on checking in, i asked for a late check out, and i was told that they cannot tell me if i can have one until the morning of my departure as they want to try sell my room. this is not acceptable as i had a late evening flight and was only leaving the hotel at 7pm so needed a room. i think that their attitude was not acceptable, the hotel was not fully booked and left me feeling quite anxious. another negative to the hotel was the wifii. it was really bad. kept dropping out so made it impossible to use viber or to use the internet and make theatre bookings as i kept losing my connection. in this day and age, not acceptable. really sad, as was a great location, lovely hotel.

I was very impressed by the Mandeville Hotel. I put a note on the booking telling them that it was our anniversary and they made 2 swans out of towels and left them on our bed covered in rose petals. A very nice touch. Thank you Mandeville.

Location, cleanliness, proximity to cafes and restaurants, where you could just take a few steps and have a good breakfast. Very close to Oxford Street, Bond Street.

I did not much like the lobby, also the fact that they don't serve drinks like coffee or tea there.

Excellent location, on James Street just off Oxford Street and Bond Street Tube Station. Easy walking distance to Green Park, Picadilly and all of Mayfair. Comfortable beds, well-appointed rooms. Excellent value for money. Many restaurants and cafes around.

Wifi connection faded in and out. The rooms and common areas appear slightly larger on the hotel website than in reality. There is a good deal of noise outside due to building, but this is not the hotels fault.

Breakfast was nice and good quality. Very friendly and happy personel. The art on the walls, particularly of one French painters (that we know) young "calculating" ladys on the wall of our room...

Sport Canal was missing. No Formula 1 from Hockenheim!

Vicinity of the shopping range and restaurants in the area and the very cheerful front Porter whom I regretfully couldn't tip when leaving as I had spent all my British cash.

I was told my superior double room and all superior double rooms were facing the courtyard but I was given a room facing the street. I am not sure that I was given a superior double room or just a normal single room with a bed for two. Initially I asked for my room to face the street yes; but when I called to check 2 days before my arrival I was told that ALL superior double rooms faced the courtyard. So...How did my room face the street? And did I pay for a superior double room but get a single room instead?
