Evey thinks except bed.
Bed so soft.
The airco was blowing extremely loud and warm air. Unable to control it yourself. No help during the night from front desk. They fixed it the next day, saying the put the temperature up due to the cold of the last days but no real compensation. Only a drink or breakfast which we were unable to do because of our schedule. Incorrect handling of affairs.
Location and walk-in-shower
Location to shops, restaurants - especially the week before Christmas
I thought the rooms were much smaller than I was expecting and the photographs indicate.
Location and the rooms were giod
The breakfast was 1 star standard and not particularly good.
This is one of the best boutique-style hotels near Oxford Street. Exceptionally well run and wonderfully homely rooms, for me I breathe a sigh of relief whenever I come back to stay. Great bistro restaurant with cocktails. Fab concierge who are ready to grab your case and hail a cab the minute you so much as glance at the door.
I only stay here when I can get a good deal on the price as the Mandeville can be exceptionally expensive, often around £450 per night. Sometimes you will find a deal nearer the £200 mark and that is when I buy. On the other occasions I go to Number Ten Manchester Street or Durrants Hotel - both up the road -for a similar but not quite so lovely experience.
The location of the hotel
The room is too small and the price per knight is too much due to the room size
*clean *central * friendly *efficient
The location was perfect for the shops, West End and Tube. Our room was spacious, clean and quiet. Staff were courteous, helpful and attentive. Would definitely stay here again.
Location& personel& cleanlines
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location and value for money.
Unsure to whose fault this was, but my booking was actually cancelled without me knowing or being informed. Fortunately rooms were still available and staff very helpful. But be wary of this. Breakfast not value for money.
Friendly staff brilliant shower
The location is excellent for my purpose and the WiFi was superb
The bed was too soft for comfort, the room size strangely looked smaller than expected and the TV offered minimal options
English staff very good. Eastern European staff very variable with some friendly but some with a healthy can "not" do attitude
The Staff The Room The Bed The Restaurant
The room was a superior and was really comfortable and good ammenities.
The noise from the street was loud with Christmas celebrations.
Whenever I stay In London, I try to go to the Maindeville : human size hotel, charming and helpful staff, perfect location. Shopping near-by (Oxford, Marylebone,...)
Location, staff, cleanliness ...
Different rooms some of them with smool windows , very claustrofobic
Lovely room Great location
Free caffee/the service inside room is too poor for the level. They offer only 4 capsule's Nespresso is not a good choice.
Everything except for the incidents given in the adjacent column.
Breakfast was a disaster on Monday - no staff was present to take the orders, they ran out of orange juice and the toaster (it appears they only have one) was not functioning. There was a lack of management awareness regarding the provision of a service. Furthermore when we arrived we had to await for 20 minutes as there was only 1 receptionist present but 3 from concierge!
We liked the location. Near the underground, and bond street. Beautifully clean hotel.
Only one thing to complain about, it would be great if the rooms also had tea making facilities as well as coffee, as some people can't drink coffee.
quite room, excellent bed, refreshing room decoration, very good shower
I would prefer the traditional kettle rather than the nespresso machine
This hotel had the comfiest bed I have ever slept in! The staff were pleasant and helpful. The superior double had been the room we stayed in and the decor was lovely. The location was great as it was so close to shops, Hyde park winter wonderland and theatres.
