I was surprised at the cost, it was very resonable I have stayed at worse hotels which cost double the price. The bar was well stocked and I was surprised to find Hendricks gin in the bar and also my wife was able to buy pink champagne. On the down side the house sparkling wine was poor. The Staff were excellent and I would mention the young Receptionist and the Bar Manager who were very helpful. The atmosphere was was good.

Great value for money. Bar food and breakfast of good standard Single room a little too small and sound insulation could be improved. Sound did carry from neighbouring rooms - toilet flushing etc

Room was what I expected. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The staff were exceptional - and I have stayed in a lot of hotels! The food was very, very good, better than I had anticipated. Should I need to go to Yeovil again. then I will not hesitate to book.

As I have mentioned on previous feedback the question above does not make sense and is not actually correct. The words do not describe the hotel but activities you can envisage doing whilst staying at the hotel. The hotel has a friendly and relaxing atmosphere and the new reception/dining room is even better than my last stay a few months ago.

Location and friendly helpful staff Stayed in The Old Stables. Rooms are quite small, floors very squeaky and walls very thin as can hear everything neighbours say and do. Main building is better.

. I particularly like hotels made from Georgian houses and I remember this one in 1965. The weather was very cold when I went and I particularly appreciated the adjustable radiators to warm up after a cold journey Dan who cleaned my room had made it spotless No noise, had a good sleep, breakfast early and filling stafff polite and helpful the staff had arranged for the sun to rise over the front of the hotel so the Sun (feb 2nd) blazed into my room as I got up Nothing I liked everything I particularly like hotels made from Georgian houses SO dont expect 21 st century interiors mindless muzak in the back ground people flapping around saying have a nice day and answering the phone whilst 'listening' to you, back packers asking where the nearest tube station is (120 mi actually) all these are absent

The proprietor was extremely friendly and obviously had a good relationship with his 'regulars'. Food was good. As a solo traveller, I felt safe. It was ideally located for my business appointments.

Very friendly helpful staff. Recently refurbished but without becoming a plastic box. Retains its original manor house feel. Food excellent and good value. Beer obviously good as Greene King IPA always is.

The superb period building, ideally located close to the town centre; a very spacious and comfortable double room; friendly, helpful and professional staff; nice food, very good value for money. The bath water was visibly contaminated. We pointed this out to a staff member who immediately arranged for the problem to be looked at. Afterwards, it was improved but not entirely fixed. This wasn't a huge problem for us, but just thought I'd mention it, seeing as you asked. The water pressure was a little low for a decent shower. Understandably, this can't be helped if you're just relying on gravity to shift the hot water, and water pumps or power-shower systems would be expensive to install. This wasn't a major issue and in no way would put me off using this hotel again.

Good decor. Just opened. Room did not have a wast paper bin. We had one good and one very poor meal on the night we arrived. The poor meal was tastless, had very soft chips and was poorly presented. So much so we did not dine in after that. The other meal was well presented and very good. Breakfast basics were basic and could do with a better range. Cooked breakfasts fine. The toast was made with too thick bread.
