The first floor fire door that traps suitcases!
The staff were very friendly and helpful, thank you for making our stay pleasant
Olde world charm
No bar facility fi residents after 11pm
A coaching inn type of establishment at the top of the main shopping street in the town centre with plenty of parking, lots of character and obviously very popular. Both dinner and breakfast were very good. The dinner menu was varied and the servings plentiful, nicely cooked and well presented. We enjoyed a particularly good breakfast, one of the best hotel breakfasts we've had for a long time. Very good value for money and far superior to a national chain establishment for the same cost.
Hotel is a bit tired in furnishings and décor but has a good buzz about it.
Location,olde world feel
Bedroom window could not easily be closed(top) or held open(bottom).Bath tap was very slow.
We were only at the hotel one night but I have to say the accommodation and breakfast were very good and the staff could not have been more helpfull, we will use this hotel again.
The food was good and sufficient.
Having to leave my room for shower/washing and toilet.
Staff were very friendly
Food was very disappointing
Bathroom was old
Room was old fashioned but in a very nice way. It was comfy and relaxing and we enjoyed our stay.
Staff were welcoming Bed was comfortable
Bar untidy in evening - unwashed glasses etc not collected Breakfast very average - some items on plate were cold, poached eggs over cooked
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was wonderful. the atmosphere was really welcoming and relaxing would definitely stay here again
nothing to dislike
Staff friendliness, comfortable bed.
Hairs in the bath Bath overflow didn't work and drainage really slow. Very noisy fan which did't go off for ages after the bathroom light went off. Broken curtain hanging
Room very comfortable and we both slept very well. Despite central location, we did not experience any noise at night. Food good value and plenty of it. No complaints at all. Overall a very good passage. My brother has been using the hotel for 18 years, now we know why! Will come again when next visiting Yeovil.
Other than the lack of a lift, and we can understand the structural problems involved, we really do not have any complaints.
Restaurant was abysmal - ordered cod and chips, which was served virtually uncooked, so I sent it back. Replacement took a long time and was not cod - it was eventually admitted that it was Pollock - and it tasted bad in any case. The Hotel has a tired feel to it and my room was not very well cleaned.
Location and room.we stayed in room 10, on a previous visit we had room 9 which we would have preferred.
Shower or rename a drizzle. Also we went to the bar for a cup of tea but there was no room to sit due to a literacy meeting, but staff let us use a table in the closed dining area.
Staff were very friendly, helpful and cheerful and made us feel welcome even though we checked in really late in the evening. We even managed to get a meal just before 10 o'clock which was delicious. Our room was also a surprise with dressing room, well appointed bathroom with separate shower and bath, and a four poster bed. Linen and duvet were very comfortable and cosy.
The four poster bed was really squeaky and made a noise even if you touched the bed let alone move during the night. such a shame and I don't know if that can be resolved - I'm not an expert on 4 poster beds! Breakfast in the morning was freshly cooked but therefore a little slow and very busy just after 7am on a week day - not problem for me but my husband had to leave early for an appointment. Maybe they should consider starting breakfasts at 630am
It is a quaint setting with lots of history in the building.
Our rooms were not ready when we arrived at 17h30. The rooms look worn and the windows were broken (broken glass). They clattered at night which interrupted sleep.
The wedding facilities were very good hotel was clean i had single room which was very comfortable and had everything i needed breakfast choices were excellent
Bar Service was slow but it was busy breakfast service was slow and bacon under cooked but staff were helpful when asked for anything
Stayed for 3 nights for business. Friendly staff and great food in the restaurant and breakfast service and food excellent . Will definitely be back .
Extract fan a bit noisy in the bathroom , but a minor issue .
Shower not working properly, no sugar supplied with tea facilities, or teaspoons. Bath too high for an even slightly disabled person to climb into for a shower. At breakfast, there were several dirty items on the table, ie, knife, plate and cereal bowl. Coffee was cold and scrambled egg was awful. Would not recommend.
Very friendly, helpful staff, lively atmosphere and good central town location.
I had a single room during my stay at the Manor Hotel and was happy to have a separate bathroom while my colleage, who also had a single room, had a sink and shower right beside his bed (yes, in the room). The price for both rooms was the same. A little bit unfair, isn't it?
The staff were very kind helpful the food very good lots of variety excellent I would recommend the manor .
Downstairs in the bar and restaurant was very nice and modern, the ladies facilities were very nice and stylish.
However, Our bedroom was very dated and Small. We also found that it hadn't been cleaned particularly well. If we had paid more than £70 I would have been very very disappointed, I don't find the photos of the bedrooms on the website to be accurate!
