Nice pub & people. Good breakfast.
The Beds. Poorly sprung, single layer of cheap mattress on slats. Noise. I know it's a pub, but our room was above the bar, we could hear everything coming up from below & I mean everything. I could have shouted at the floor and joined in the conversation. This carried on until at least midnight On the bowls night you could hear the ball being bowled & when they had a strike all hell broke loose, more noise than a darts match but the same celebration tune. On the last night someone decided to move the furniture about in the bar at one thirty in the morning - NOT GOOD. Apart from that it was fine
Service from staff was good.
The bathRoom was not very clean and was smelly.
Great village location. Superior room in main house was lovely. Large room, clean, bright and airy. Wonderful shower in large contemporary en-suite room- would love one of these at home. Friendly staff. Good Food. On-site parking.
Very friendly and accommodating, menu was good and they allowed me to mix and match my evening meal. Quiz night was really great fun.
Bathroom smelled very damp. Consistency between the chefs was a bit confusing. - Haddock and poached eggs was good both days but very differently presented
This was a lovely, homely welcome but still had a convivial pub atmosphere.
There's not much to criticise, it was all good
Very good service with lovely breakfast and a clean comfortable room. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Special thanks to Assistant Manager Chris.
Attractive pub with an extremely helpful friendly manager, nice ambiance, good breakfast
Room in annex felt basic & in need of some attention,
Style and comfort of room Friendliness of staff
Frendly staff good nights sleep
Located in quiet village with very peaceful atmosphere. Friendly efficient and helpful staff. A great place to relax and recharge batteries on tour of UK.
The bed is very comfortable but is a little low for us and was a bit difficult to rise in the morning
Manor House as is is mainly a pub, not so much a hotel Parking lot is used as a public paking, too close to the rooms, which gives noise into the night, bed too narrow, room too hot, no airco.
Quaint accommodation in a lovely, sleepy English village. The staff were very friendly and the food was superb. Wished we could have stayed longer!
There was nothing to not like.
Friendly helpful staff Excellent home cooked food
immaculate room, stylish, helpful friendly staff, good vibe and good food in the bar
Food and drink were excellent and the staff could not have been more helpful. The mews bedrooms were extremely comfortable.
Really nice staff and a proper old pub building, ambience. The workmen were in and I'm sure it will be even nicer soon.
There was an obnoxious smell coming from the kitchen which put me off and made me doubt that the food was ok. The coffee in he morning didn't taste quite right either (not sure if this was me, the milk or whether I was feeling a little paranoid due to the smell). Otherwise, the breakfast was great! My bathroom felt dirty and the room carpet had ingrained dirt in it so I didn't want to take off my shoes. I was with a customer from Belgium with me as a guest, who had nothing negative to say about his stay (I didn't share my negative comments with him).
Lovely village and setting . Tastefully decorated , staff very friendly.
Convenient and near to Paul Nichols racing stables!
Superb staff enhanced touches such as fresh milk brought to your room in a thermos.
Very comfy rooms, we had a huge bathroom with underfloor heating. A very quiet village location and the Inn has an excellent restaurant with a flexible menu. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay, much more ambiance than a Premier Inn and cheaper!
Great value Nice breakfast - cooked to order Warm, cosy rooms Had an individual feel Great shower Fresh milk for room
It was great value -- don't be picky!
Whilst having breakfast it was lovely to see the horses out for their morning canter.
The room was lovely very shabby chic. Only thing was the room was very hot . Nor sure how because the radiator was off!! Couldn't leave the window open as we were in the ground floor and it was raining.
we were made to feel welcome on arrival. loved our stay and intend to stay again soon
Great friendly staff. Comfortable room good food
Nothing negative to say at all
Food Beer Friendly attitude of staff Comfortable accommodation Parking
Rumbling noise from the skittle alley late at night
