Beautiful rooms, Plenty of space & very clean. Had lovely grounds that are kept very well. We attended a wedding was very organised and was run beautiful all througout the day, we also had a very deliouse breakfast with plenty of choice. Would defiantly recommend too a friend.
The staff were very nice; the food was excellent; the bed was very comfortable. The chalet was private, quiet and quite spacious.
It was impossible to access the soap (high on a wall) when sitting in the bath. No tissues, toiletries or shower cap were provided. The bedroom was too ill-lit for reading. The tv was small and the quality of sound poor.
Lovely clean roon and breakfast
nice marquee,lovely grounds rural setting
it could have done with some updating.
Lovely setting. Chalet room spacious and convenient. Plenty of parking. Food delicious. Staff very attentive.
Unfortunate long lane to get to the hotel. Had difficulty in finding it initially. Not sign posted.
Very friendly staff, had an excellent chalet for the stay. Good food, very relaxing evening with the Manor House team
Friendliness and co-operation of all staff
Put-u-up in bungalow room was to low for comfort.
We stayed in a clean, comfortable, chalet room with excellent facilities. Breakfast was good and staff very helpful in advising best way to travel into Cardiff centre.
The owner was so friendly and helpful not just to me but other guest
Large twin room with 2 DOUBLE beds Bathroom was lovely and looked like it had recently been renovated Extremely quiet and peaceful Arrived at 10am not expecting to check in but room was ready It was such good value that we have already booked for next year
The staff were lovely - very helpful and attentive. The bed was very comfortable, location wonderful for the wedding we went to. And we ended up paying less than what Booking.com advertised the room for after being allocated a room in the main building. The room was spacious and comfortable, and I loved that there were Welsh cakes instead of biscuits!
The black blinds in the room made it very hot when the sun shone on them in the morning, and the room smelled a bit musty when we first arrived (which was unnoticeable once the windows had been open for a while). The rooms could do with being updated but the bed was very comfortable
Comfortable chalet room, much larger than most hotels. Friendly staff, good breakfast and excellent value for the price. Hotel was ideal for what I wanted for a weekend; I will be happy to stay again next time I visit S. Wales.
Excellent service and very friendly and helpful staff.
The staff was very friendly and accomodating. All the places we came to see were within easy driving distance. The breakfast was excellent with eggs cooked perfectly to order. The room was quiet. The bath was clean and modern. The diningroom served a good Italian meal.
The bed was not comfortable. The mattress was very hard.
Chalet room is large
TV too small Internet available in main house
Very friendly staff very good service and clean room
The owner was pretty flexible,he changed my room when I asked for a. Room with windows which opened. He also reduced my room rate for the 3 nights,a nice gesture!
Public areas are slightly tired.Would benefit from a bit of modernisation!
Staff were very friendly and helpful
No wifi in rooms (in the chalet building).
Impossible to sleep due to a high Velux window without a blind so the room was light very early in the morning. There was also a lack of fresh air as the room had no window, only a patio door.
Excellent value accommodating staff. Good bar and restaurant facilities. At very reasonable prices.
Location a little remote
The grounds and main building were lovely, and staff very friendly. We stayed in a chalet at the back. Would have loved to have been in main building though had requested a bath and quiet room and was given that.
plastic throw away cups and spoons and paper bath mat weren't welcoming. Flat screen TV size not much bigger than iPad. Uncomfortable bed. Skylight with no cover. Dried food on cutlery in restaurant though waiter was very apologetic.
Rural location but close enough to city.
We liked the chalets and the bathrooms. The owner and staff are friendly and helpful.
I find the location a little remote. However, it has the compensatory advantage of being quiet and peaceful.
We had a chalet room in the annexe It was v clean spacious and comfortable Nice patio area lovely and quiet Hotel had nice gardens
Nothing but some outdoor chairs on the patio would have been useful
Location is lovely, rural and quiet and the hotel looks great from the outside.
The hotel seemed very old fashioned and the chalet we stayed in was very dated with pine furniture and eighties wallpaper borders. Also there was mould in the corner of the bath and the toilet flush mechanism seemed to be glued together.
