Very clean, friendly staff, the meals are excellent, the room was spotless.I Have stayed in 3 stars at best western, and these beat them easily, perhaps its the clout of a bigger chain etc. Above all I think it was homely and welcoming, and once again good chef come owner who knows how to cook a meal. On this trip I stayed in the bridal suite but they dont supply any bride.Getting back to reality perhaps the star people are put off by the lane you go down to find it,but that would be nit picking.

The staff were very friendly and helpul. The chalet room was spacious, warm and comfortable. The hotel has parking and is well-placed for visits to nearby beaches, local country park and Cardiff. The hotel is not so easily accessible without a car but the local taxi services were very good.

Laid back atmosphere. It was a quiet time between Christmas and New Year and the staff just trusted us to make ourselves at home. Soggy toast

The staff, in person and on the phone - delightful. Bathroom. The room. Design was unappealing, not homely. High ceiling, no comfy chair. Quilt not big enough.

The staff were very helpful - nothing was too much trouble We had a chalet room - it was very basic - small tv that did not work. The walls were paper thin unfortunately our neighbour snored a great deal which hampered our ability to sleep The bed was very small a basic double. The room was clean but tired - very 90s in decor lots of pine furniture The overall rating would be below that of a budget motel There was no residents lounge with the bar area being given over to restaurant tables

We stayed at Manor House because we attended the evening Wedding party my friend had at your Hotel. We had a fantastic evening and thoughrally enjoyed our stay, included in our stay ( half board ) was Dinner and Breakfast which again was excellent. We found all the staff very friendly and helpful and would recommend your hotel to anyone. Keep up the good work and once again thanks very much. Josie & Garry Worgan

We had a very pleasant stay, service was friendly and of a high standard. Our accomadation was simple but beautifully clean. We ate at the hotel restaurant, the food was fresh and well-cooked. The hotel is on a very pretty country road but only minutes away to good facilities. We would recommend it for simplicity and value for money.

We got on well with the son of the proprietor who was in charge while his dad was away. Perhaps someone could have explained the tv to us when we arrived also the thermostatic control and also how to open the overhead window

We loved the chalets that we were in. We had 1 each right next door to each other, we had privacy but the choice to mingle if we wanted. They also arranged a mini bus for us to go to the city centre which is only 4 miles away. I will certainly be going back after the new year.

The comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. The italian based menu suited our tastes. Friendly staff. Because the business is family based it gives the whole building a feeling of being cared for and that also extends to the guests. The function rooms look beautiful and are full of character.

We stayed for a half board, three night stay, which turned out to be an absolute bargain.First, a quiet, countryside spot, yet only minutes away from the main roads to Cardiff, Penarth, Barry.Second, a well appointed, very pleasant annexe ensuite with direct parking outside.Thirdly, delightfully friendly, helpful staff. Saving the best till last, fourthly was the food. The owner's italian heritage is a strong feature of the cooking; wonderfully wholesome, full of authentic flavour-[the pork rossini was an absolute standout.] We'd certainly go back again; it truly was value for money.

We traveled as a family with grown children and two single family members. Stayed in the chalets at the back of the hotel which were clean and spacious. If you have a car, the hotel is in a good location for visiting Cardiff, Penarth or Barry. The hotel was busy with a wedding reception for one of the two nights we stayed but we were still made very welcome and for our whole stay, the owner and staff were extremely friendly. An added plus was looking out of the kitchen window to fields and horses - a nice change from the city motels we have stayed in previously. Nice breakfast and a good dinner!

It was a small friendly family hotel, very good valve for money, and would stay there again and recommend to friends. Food was very good, and It was really nice to have a freshly made breakfast, instead of the usual hotel hot plates. Really enjoyed our stay.

The owner of this hotel really does go the extra mile. I collected a colleague from Cardiff Airport and this was our stopover for one night before moving on. The food that night was excellent and the whole experience very good value for money. Would stay again with no hesitation.
