Breakfast could have had more variety of prepared fruit and pastries.
The hotel was clean with friendly staff and the food was of a decent standard.
The bedroom was as big as a dog kennel, plus the bed was only a single bed (despite me ordering a double bed) with a trough in the middle extremely uncomfortable.
Breakfast, size of bed, cleanliness
The delegation liked the hotel very much. They said that they loved the English breakfast (first time they had experienced bacon and egg!). The hotel staff were amazing and the facilities were brilliant.
There was nothing they didn't like
Attentive staff Newly refurbished Good breakfast
The location was great, the staff couldn't do more for me and the food was fantastic and not expensive. There was also a nice atmosphere about so I would highly recommend this hotel.
Nothing not to like personally.
The location was perfect for my meeting. The general look and feel of the hotel was nice. Very friendly and helpful staff
Unfortunately the meal I had was not pleasant. the room does not have air con and despite it being January, and having the room heater off, the room was uncomfortably hot.
Very comfortable hotel, staff excellent
CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE VERY PLEASANT STAFF
I wish we had been told that there was not full English breakfast on the 2nd of January, the manager did sort the problem to our satisfaction
We have been staying in this hotels for many years now while visiting family In the area. It is one of our favourite hotels, it is friendly, clean, has a good variety of facilities, good bar and restaurant. It was recently renovated which makes it even nicer.
The beds are on the small side, especially for a couple. They are also too soft.
Food, comfort and helpful staff
The lift not working , other than that very little
Lovely staff and beautiful hotel.....
Pleasant staff - very welcoming. Bar fodd was excellent God value for money
Great overnight stay: comfortable room. Very las ant staff
The bed, the room
Reception staff was not able to show me any jogging routes although the guide in the room mentioned that there were two jogging routes nearby and I should ask reception for details. Cooked breakfast was a bit slow to arrive, but I put that to the fact that the other guests were holiday makers and not in a hurry like I was. Both these matters were minor though, just mentioning them if you want to improve a hotel which I thought was excellent.
Lovely hotel. Excellent staff and friendly atmosphere. Good food. Swimming pool a bonus.
Very comfortable bed Excellent restuarant with a good choice of wines
Breakfast - Good choice but would prefer to have eggs cooked fresh not sat under heat lamps.
Great hotel!!! The place has been recently refurbished and is very clean and tidy. We ate in the bar, which offered a good selection of meals and specials. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order. Swimming pool was a great asset to unwind after our day of travelling
Stff facilities Food
The food in bar restaurant was excellent value for money and quality
The staff were brilliant- Emma who was working reception was an absolute delight, so polite and extremely happy to help, the rooms were beautiful we had a swirl bath which was super relaxing. We were close to restaurant's on the high street, we went to a Chinese as the bar and restaurant on site closes at 9.30pm which was a shame. Very welcoming lots of parking, lovely décor and great staff! Leisure facilities such as pool an sauna were lovely too!
The only small detail was the closing times of the bar/restaurant's. But apart from that we had a lovely stay!
I'm not a fan of BW hotels but this was excellent. Would recommend.
My only complaint was that the real ale on offer was Doombar.
The hotel had a great pool for the kids and was easily accessible from the M6. The breakfast was excellent and the bar provided us with a wide range of food options when we arrived at 8pm. All in all great value for money.
Bedroom on the second floor was warm
We stayed at the Manor House for one night whilst attending a family wedding. The facilities were excellent, the room was clean and quiet and the breakfast was fab. I was more than happy with all aspects if our stay and would definately stay again if I was in the area. 10/10.
Having to check out with a hangover!! :-))
There was a wedding on, so we had to eat in the bar, which was fine. Staff were very nice and helpful.
Breakfast was a disappointment. I have never seen such a poor excuse for fried eggs, rick hard, separated and swimming in grease. My husband decided not to even bother. Lots of staff running around picking up plates as soon as you put your cutlery down, maybe better employed cooking decent eggs!!
